"The Tripper" is David Arquette's newest film. It is a hippie/mystery/thriller/horror flick, lol. It is like nothing I have seen before. I liked it cuz it is the start of a new horror genre bringing politics into the picture. It is a slasher that has a man dressed like Ronald Regan going around killing hippie's and rednecks with an axe, lol. Another MUST see for horror lovers. I give it a B-.

one of those slow but yet still interesting flicks. I dug it. And it had its funny parts.

Romero's already brought politics too horror along with many others. Look at "They Live".

From what I seen in Fangoria it looks like a fun movie. I'll give it a rent.

Yeah, this was a cool movie. Something a lil' different. Actually is pretty trippy from the music to the visuals and overall mood.

There are a couple deleted scenes with one of the hippies, Joey, that I found downright hysterical. There's other stuff too.

I couldn't figure who exactly the film was taking shots at. By the end I concluded that the movie blasted hippies, yuppies, Reagan, rednecks, capitalists, animal rights activist, environmentalists, etc. It didn't seem to be a conservative or liberal movie to be honest.

I was originally aggravated with some of what I felt was anti-drug commentary, but Arquette redeemed himself by saying that his message was about "not taking drugs too far" which left people in the audio commentary asking him a question or two about what that ment.

I'm probably going to give it a second viewing and then review it.

haha, pretty perceptive. Sounds interesting, one of those movies where the majority of critics bash it but all your friends tell you to see it.
