This was a weird movie. I saw it when it first came out on DVD and ended up buying it because it entertained me and the ending was amazing I thought. I know a lot of people hated this film, but I enjoyed it. If you haven't seen it yet go rent it. It is worth it I think.

Some of the acting and the ending was totally unbelievable and ridiculous IMO! Watching a paranoid Ashley Judd made me feel like I was watching a poorly done student film.

It's one of those movies that got a lot of great response from film critics, but didn't get a great reception with audiences. I think it would just be worth seeing to see what the director of the Exorcist is capable of today.

I liked this movie. It built up a great sense of dread as time went on. Discovering just how fucked up these people were made this more of a horrific film than most of the stuff passing as horror these days.

hahaha, I've been pretty excited about seeing this, it's good to read a positive review from a normal viewer.

Trust me when I say, it's not for everyone. Most of my friends and peers really hated it. It's definitely not action-packed or anything like that. Much more of a psychological thing.

Who can't take an occasional break from the jump-out-of-the-closet/loud-musical-queue horror movie tricks?

Some bad movies actually can redeem themselves with a good ending.

Trailers were misleading. Step aside from that... and I seriously do not see how this made the big screen. Don't get me wrong, the on/off broadway play it was derived from was well done but the movie adaptation is far more suited for a made-for-TV movie release or straight to DvD release. Parts were decent, but as a movie it seem hollow and rather rushed.... lacked the draw the play had in many respects.
End of the day thought... I've seen worse play-to-movie adaptations, but not many, :dsp:

The previews were very misleading. However, I really liked this movie. It accomplished exactly what it seemed to be set out to do...make you think your losing your mind. Everything about this movie, the dialogue especially, was perfect. It stayed so monotone and bizarre that it made it uncomfortable to watch giving no satisfaction or relief at the ending. It was crazy. And I loved it. I was also amussed by how furious everyone else in the theater was by the time it was over. Unanimous "booo's!" from everyone.

Acting was decent, movie was horrendous. I saw it in the theatres. There was only like 40 people in there, about 5-10 walked out. At the end some guy screamed THANK GOD, to which everyone clapped.
