God...the few times I believe there is one...I fear God as well.
I fear that on the day of my judgement God will never forgive me for the things that I've done...or rather the things I haven't done. That I read and see about things in the world...bad things like genocide in Africa or starvation...and that I do nothing about it.
I don't think God will forgive me for that...that's why I fear god...and it's my biggest fear.

What about Marburg?
"In the 1980s, the Soviet Union experimented with the Marburg virus in aerosol form on monkeys and determined that infection required only a few virions. Ken Alibek (formerly Kanatjan Alikbekov) who secretly immigrated to the United States in 1992 revealed information about Soviet experimentation with the Marburg virus. The former First Deputy Director of Biopreparat, the Soviet biological weapons program, Dr. Alibek reported that Soviet scientists were researching whether Marburg could be loaded into a warhead or a MIRV delivery system. A colleague, Dr. Nikolai Ustinov, died from the virus after accidentally infecting himself while injecting guinea pigs with the Marburg virus for the Soviet biological weapons program. As described by Dr. Alibek, the disease that followed was horrifying and induced hemorrhages throughout Dr. Ustinov's body including from his nose, mouth, and sweat glands. After he died, Dr. Ustinov's journal was covered in his unclotted blood from star-shaped hemorrhages beneath his skin"

I enjoy the challenge, risks, and rewards of just living my own life.
The flip side is that a socialist society constructs their own monopolistic megacorporation (the all-owning government) who is also armed with several military branches and nukes. I'll never get how it's cool to hate on Wal-Mart but enlightened to want the government to take that same ethic to its absolute extreme.
Anyway, I have a whole bunch of reasons but those are probably the least inflammatory.

That was Ebola.
Marburg is more recent and has a higher fatility rate.
Im sorry my friend but that information is incorrect..marburg has actually been around longer than ebola according to doctor joseph mccormick he was the head of the specila pathogens branch at the cdc for a good while he did alot visiting to africa to research ebola, marburg, and lassa fevers. Ebola zaire the 1st reported known strain of the virus was discovered in 1976 in yambuku, zaire africa. It has a 90% fatality rate. marburg is only shown to have 23-25% fatality rate. Marburg was discovered in 1967 after labortory workers handle the dead carcass' of african green monkeys. What makes Ebola more deadly?? there are several different strains
ebola-zaire,ebola-sudan,ebola-gabon,ebola-i'vorie coast,ebola-reston All have shown different fatality rates, ebola zaire being the deadliest. ebola reston gave a good scare in reston,va after all the monkeys in the lab began dying. ebola reston antibodies were present in 4 of the workers but no one ever got sick. apparently this strain only affects primates this is the only known airborne strain.(these monkeys were from the phillipines) Ebola zaire has had a positive test for becoming airborne when an experiment was conducted in usamriid. one uninfected primate's cage was kept next to an infected primate's cage only access for infection was an airduct..guess what? the other monkey got sick.......sorrry for the whole spill <<<<im going to be a microbiologist so i know tons about this shit.....and that is just the tip of the ice burg of scary illnesses.....flesh eating bacteria....that shit is scarey anyone can get it but the people who are at risk is anyone who has diabetes, heart disease, anyone who is obese or (one possiblity scientist are still thinking is people who have never had chicken pox could also be susceptible)!!!!

though this information that you present is correct the reason why the cdc lists marburg as having a 23-25% (cdc being where i've gathered the majority of my information)fatality rate is because this is the (general) morality rate for this virus. in some outbreaks marburg has presented itself to be as deadly as ebola some scientist believe this is due to mutation or the way third world countries do not have infection control practices. Marburg is not as leathal in areas where the possiblity of contamination is reduced...if you also noticed on the cdc website it list the different outbreaks for ebola zaire as well in not all of the outbreaks did it have a 90% fatality rate..it just depends on the death to total cases ratio. if the ratio for deaths is higher the higher the percentage will be. as for the WHO them the cdc and NIH all list different versions of there case information. This is unfortunate since when your studying about this stuff like i am you can easily get confused so whoes information is accurate???? trust the guys who where there...C.J Peters,Joseph Mccormick there are a few others but unfortunately i dont have that info handy. im not trying to insult your intelligence im just trying to say that ebola is worse based on cases, deaths, how quickly it kills. sorry i love this stuff so i tend to be talkative about it if someone shows an interest !! :)

I have some pretty stupid fears sometimes.
1. Getting lost in space......honestly, would this ever happen? No, but I fear it.
2. Getting lost at sea.....this one is more plausible. I say 'more' because I do not get on boats.
3. Walking into one of those clothes racks (like in Walmart)....they're just at the right level to put out an eye:nono:
4. Total bridge collapse (when I'm on it)...not likely to happen, but in our failing infrastructure, I have my "escape plan" ready!
5. Ventriloquist dummies....you guys all know about this one, don't have to say anymore.
6. Drowning...legitimate fear.

This all reminds me of the time I was really drunk at a buddy's apartment... his apartment was the second floor of a house and when I went to leave, I tripped over my own feet and went flying down the steps backward... I didn't fall, I was just sort of running backward with my arms flailing... I managed to run all the way down the stairs backward with out falling... then when I made to the bottom, I just stood there for a minute in total amazement.. then I turned around walked face-first straight into a tree.

Spiders and centipedes. I know it's not a practical fear...

:lol2: ahhhahahaha oh my goodness that was a great story *wipes tear* hilarious

Spiders..and Heights. Heights is the worst fear though.. I can't even get up on a small step ladder without shaking. (Could be due to the fact that I fell off of a VERY high porch when I was a little girl? I dunno)

Phobias are weird shit... Snakes, Spiders, Heights, Clowns with Icepicks... none of these things cause me any more fear than is normally warrented... for example snakes in and of themselves don't bother me.. but if I see a rattlesnake on the ground in front of me, yes I will be spooked, not because it is a snake, but because it is a poisonous snake that can kill me...
Having said that...
I do have a phobie... Ornithophobia... I can't stand birds. They wig me out... and if they get within a certain perimeter of me, I freak out.
One time, the wife and I went to the zoo and they have this huge walk-through aviary filled with all kinds of exotic and big birds all just flying around you and sitting on the path... I walked through it and the wife thought I was going to pass out. My heart was going at about a million beats per second and I have no doubt in my mind that if one of those feathered demons landed on me, I would've shit my pants and dropped dead of a heart attack.
The only thing that kept me from going into hysterics was knowing that if I went ape-shit, the birds would probably go ape-shit as well, so I just looked straight down at the path in front of me and kept walking at a steady pace until I was out...
... the wife found this whole episode to be highly amusing... bitch... even more so when we found out afterwards there was a walk-around path you could take that DIDN'T go through the aviary... That whole little slice of living hell could've been avoided!
