They actually fined a player for missing a game after he organized and attend his grandmother's funeral.

Good to know the only thing Minnesota sports teams seem to do well is give away their top talent for Boston teams to pick up:

I wont argue that this is a pathetic deal.

I'm really not sure of many employers who would give that much time off paid, and Congress had to pass a law to force employers to even give time off at all for these type of things - paid or not.

The guy shouldnt have been expected to be paid for a week off,he should have just asked for a leave of absence.

Anyways, most employers are asses,I assure you the Vikings dont corner the market.

This has more to do with Brad Childress being a cunt than the Vikings organization. Decisions like this are usually made by the head coach.

I am so glad Childress didn't bother show up for his interview with the Packers.

They're not docking his pay, they're fining him for it.

I am pretty sure this was done by the front office.

holy hell, I wouldn't think a head coach would have that much power over something non football related. Wish the Vikes could pick a worthy coach, should have kept the player's coach Mike Tomlin.

Apparently the Vikings have decided to change their minds and give him back the check.

Good idea.

Only class on that team is from Adrian Peterson, it's a shame he got drafted there.
