Borderland= good
Crazy Eights= terrible
Unearthed= so-so
The Deaths Of Ian Stone= pretty good

My favorite thus far is The Deaths Of Ian Stone.

Tonight will be interesting night. Out of the blue, the manager of my theatre came in before the screening of Unearthed last night and announced to those present that the cast/crew of Tooth And Nail will be at my theater for a meet/greet and autograph signing. He also handed us a two-sided Horrorfest theatre poster. A nice plus for the festival this year. Anyone else get promos or having an meet/greet/autograph signing?

They will grace my DvD collection like all of last year's movies...hopefully as another cheap sale where I can buy all 8 of them for $30 again so it only takes 2 decent ones to justify the buy (I love small store sales). Til then, I'll watch clips and read about them.

Mulberry Street was awesome, it is definitely a must-see, as well as The Deaths Of Ian Stone.

Tooth & Nail wasn't too bad. The major problem I had with this movie was that the characters stayed in the same area, and in most cases, the same fucking rooms for the majority of the movie. The cannibals also kinda looked a little too funny IMO. Like they traveled forward through time from the past to the future. But I think that was to be somewhat expected, given the theme of the film.

Lake Dead is a teen slasher. It was ok, something I really won't want to see again.

They didn't release the DVDs until late March this year. After talking with Jeff Erb, producer of Tooth & Nail, and Kevin Scott, who played the role of Max in the film. They told me that After Dark Films were aiming to release this year's Horrorfest DVDs around that same time this coming year.

DreadCentral reviews pretty much said most of them sucked. But they really liked Borderland. They gave Lake Dead a .5 out of 5. Damn thats bad.

Lake Dead was bad, but that was nothing compared to Crazy Eights. I thought Crazy Eights was the worst of them all. I still cannot figure out what the hell the film was all about. The storyline was a royal mess.

IMO, the best out of the films were Borderland, Mulberry Street, and The Deaths Of Ian Stone.

Well they all pretty much sucked last year, so no surprise they do this year aswell. Can't believe they charge full price for DTV flicks at the theatre :2far:

And no popcorn sales! Down right criminal. On a brighter note, mulberry street has appeared on one of my regular free sites. Screw turrent...lol. Now to wait and see if he puts up Unearthed.

Okay I only saw two horror movies from horrorfest.

Tooth and nail and Mulberry street.

Tooth and nail - 7/10

Pretty good end of the world movie. I love the killings and the ending for this movie.

Mulberry Street - 10/10

This movie kinda reminds me of 28 days later. Instead of flesh eating people. We got flesh eating rat people. Very entertaining.

My point is it is a straight feed site with it rather than a download/turrent site. :haht:

I'm amazed so many people liked the Deaths of Ian Stone. Granted, it isn't what I expected, and I didn't hate it, but there was some weird morality shit going on and that threw me way out of the horror scenario.

Not to mention, they played the rule game quite a bit with shadow people. That was the only thing that got me to like the movie so much, is that a film maker finally went out on a limb to make a shadow people type movie, only more gruesome than the actually theory is.
