Is it real?

I gave in and watched most of the lion attack footage from the first Traces of Death on youtube, I turned it off after the lions attacked. I can stand fake blood and shit but not the fucking real thing.

Anyways, I suppose this has been discussed here and it was being discussed on youtube, but is this footage real? I mean some aspects look real and some look fake.

Was it ever examined?

I think Faces of Death was fake..Traces of Death has real stuff, i think, but usually those type of films are just clips spliced together from news footage etc. I highly doubt someone actually went up to the lions to get eaten for the film.

I think the biggest way to tell if it is real or not is if there are multiple camera angles,If there are then there is a good chance it was staged and not someone who happened to be there with a video camera.

OP: You already watched it. Why try to find out if it's real or not, if you can't take the real stuff. It's like going to Japan and asking what's in your food if you can't stomach it.

IDEAS:

It's Fake = The camera's are shakey (as to avoid a straight shot) and focus on the reactions of the others involved for emotional shock value. Also, were the cameramen so heartless as to film someone's death instead of drop their cameras and try to distract the lions from killing the man. We really see no blood or gore what so ever. I would expect at least some.

It's Real = The way the lions reacted with each other (like, bitch, this is my food) was something I've seen in nature videos with real kills. They are greedy with their zebra meat! Also, if it is fake, what was in that "fake body" to make the lions tear it apart and chew/eat it?

Traces and Faces are both mostly fake, though there are some real things thrown in. personally I wont watch anything as bad as them, so I only recall from when I was little.

Watching that clip its onviously fake. A. the people arent shown at the same time as the man being attacked. and b. why would somone stop and film reaction shots from a family.
