Ok...so im playing madden 08 on live and I get an unreadable disk error...

Now it wont load...my question is what can be done about this...i googled it and looked around...ive read this is the begging of the end for my 360...ive read my 360 may have cracked the disk by making the little clicking noise...

Anyone have any insight on whats going on..

Return the disc and get a new one. Then you'll know if it was the disc or the Xbox?

Ok update I saw another site that said look at the center of the disk and see if there is a crack, and there it is, a crack

Is there anything I can do to get a new madden? Should i look into exchanging my 360 or something..

Also is this by chance an indication my x-box is going to take a shit or anything?

It's possible but I doubt it. It's either the disc, dust, scratch or something minor

I had the disc read error problem wit Halo 3 a couple weeks after buying it. It just quit loading the maps and wouldn't connect to online matches. I swapped it out for a new one and voila, works perfectly.

OK well heres another question...does buying the little fan actually help prevent any of these problems, or the red rings?

The xbox i have is used so i cant tell if its one of the newer fixed ones so i dont know if this will be a problem or not

Adding any type of attachment puts more strain on the 360 as far as pushing power through it which makes it hotter. We all know the hotter the 360 gets the greater the risk of a meltdown. Sure fans sound good in theory but not if its receiving its power from the 360

I heard this guy was have freezing issues with Gears. He took his HDD, Wifi, etc off and it ran better

Get a fan that has it's own power supply.
