Okay first of all I deleted the other Beowulf thread so don't even ask what happen to the other thread.
I just got back from the free special screening for this movie in 3D and it was excellent. The CGI was well done and It was very entertaining. It was also gruesome and also you get to see Angelina Jolie naked in this movie. I am telling you if want to see adult gruesome animation movie were you get to see blood coming out the screen while wearing your clear 3D glasses then see this movie. It's worth it.
10/10
Also do not bring your kids. This is not a kids movie.

Only the thing was kinda annoying is when Crispin Glover playing Grendel. Grendel does look great and all, but I couldn't even understand what he was saying. At least he kick ass in this movie by killing everyone.

I was thinking of just seeing this for the Cloverfield trailer, but thanks for the review, sounds good. I love Crispin Glover, I think he's really underrated.

Looks like skybrick is going to be disappointed since this movie didn't flop. It made $$28,100,000 which means it made up to #1 at the box office. So sorry skybrick you were wrong and I was right. I knew this movie wasn't going to flop in the first place.

:cussing: No wonder look at its compitition, those movies are for kids or for the mentally handicaped.
Bee Movie?
Fred Cluas?
Dan in real life? (haven't even heard of)
Mr. Magorium's Wonder of Opium?
I would still rather see 30 Days of Night for the 3rd time rather then the biggest ripoff Hollywood has put out.

Beowulf wasn't a kids family film.
It was more of a adult film. Also it wasn't a rip off either. How about you do me a favor is to stop complaining.

First off I never said the movie was for kids, I was just saying that its compitition was a bunch of kids movies.
Second off I am not complaining, I am proving a point

Well you always complain about me for liking every movie I've seen as long it entertains me and my grammar. I just think you should show some respect. Same as some of the members in here who bash at me.

heh, I never remember for bashing your grammer because I have shitty grammer as well. But for bashing peoples opinions on movies is something I love to do and I guess you'll just have to toughen up. I imagine there is a lot more members that are more cynical then I am around here and thats kinda scary in itself.
EDIT: I respect everybody for who they are and if somebody cant find something good about a person thats really shallow. (sometimes its hard though :D)

Yeah but the dragon flight scene was bad ass as hell at the end of the movie.
:::Spoiler::
I love the part at the end were Beowulf rips the dragon heart out with his hand and blood was coming out while you wearing your clear 3D glasses.
I am telling you the 3D version is what makes this movie even more entertaining.

Every movie you listed looks great except Bee Movie.....just bend over and take it like a man...you were wrong.
In any event...this movie was alright...the 3-D effects were superb, and the animation was great as well...but I felt the story to be lacking a little. I've never read the poem, but I know a bit about it, and I know of a few things right off hand that the movie didn't follow. I don't know how the poem ends, but I do know I didn't like the way the film ended. Though I have seen better, the flick is good for an entertaining 2 hours.
P.S. Jolie doesn't get naked...the whole time her nips are hidden by a gold covering.

Still not real "nudity" as far as movies are concerned till you see a nipple. Besides, it's animated anyways.
You like Opium?
 I didn't even realize you spelled it that way.
