Searcher, the link you posted does not work. Although i have seen the pic in the Pitt post gazette and I agree they are reaching a bit. The top hat could really be anything. I believe Abe was there, you dont have to tell me twice.

I don't think it's reaching too far. I mean, there are plenty of men in that photo wearing stove-pipe hats, but only one towers above all of them, something Lincoln was well known for.
