my mouse

I have a cordless laser mouse that has worked fine for quite a while now, but recently it started double clicking by itself. Like, I click x 1 and it ends up clicking x 2. It's really annoying when I'm browsing the net cause it will bring me back more pages that I want to go. What's going on? The button seems to click the same as it always has and it only does it at random times. Is it something with my settings or is my mouse just a piece of shit? I'm too cheap to buy a new one so if someone can magically make it better I will be greatful.

ps... it's a Logitech optical mouse.
