One of my former students and wrestlers I've been training just had his first MMA fight today. Amateur rules no knees or elbows or punches to the head on the ground. Enjoy!

Sounds like Rings. Which is your friend and who's cammin?
Army shorts seems a bit tense and nervous but out matched his opponent. You can tell he's about to get soo much better the more he trains. The guy in red has a horrible guard. Richie is the army shorts guy? He kind of rushed for the clinch/takedown how's his standup? ;) grats for his first fight and hope to see more of him

Yeah my guys in the camis Richie he's only 20 so he's got a ton of time to develope but we just wanted him to get in there and mix it up. His standup is pretty solid the reason we took it to the ground so quickly is because we knew nothing of his opponent. Apparently the kid was from Cambodia and was a standup fighter. During the weigh ins he was talking trash about how he was gonna win standing, so we took that as he has no ground game and decided just to muscle him to the mat and wear him down.
Really happy with this though. Rich should be fighting in the next few months if not at least a submission tourney. Really high hopes for this kid, really dedicated in training.

That's cool. I'd love to be in the MMA but since i'm pretty weak compared to their standards and i'm allergic to pain...:ahheh:
