View Full Version : Recommend Some New Shit That's Out There

I always like to hear the opinions of board members.

New stuff I like:

As I Lay Dying - An Ocean Between Us

Monsterously heavy and not sloppy at all. Killer drums. Can do without the throaty growls, but now and then some clean singing fills the gaps and IMO makes the songs more palatable.

Alter Bridge - Blackbird

Nice stuff. Good Hard Rock - plain and simple.

What do you recommend? (remember "new")

Wolves in the Throne Room - won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm sure some of the metal heads here will enjoy it.

Band of Horses' Cease to Begin is great.

It took a few listens to grow on me(except for the opening song which is instantly bad ass) but it really is a great album.

Also really enjoying:

Bat for Lashes - Fur and Gold
Tegan and Sara - The Con
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Is Is E.P.
