Psychic Sylvia Browne

Ok, so I spend a lot of time at Barnes & Noble boostores. I usually bring my laptop and write in their cafes, but sometimes I will just sit in one of their chairs and skim through books about whatever I'm interested in.

Well, the other day I picked up a few books in the New Age section and one of them was from Sylvia Browne. I've seen her on Montel (since I'm a talk show fan) and, like most subject of the paranormal, I'm not sure what to think of her.

The book I read was called Prophecy, and was filled with just that, her prophecies for America. Some were interesting and included:

2008: Break through aura medical scanners
2008/9: President will die in office of natural causes. Vice President will be assassinated for his stance on war with Korea.
2010: Psychic Police Officers will start becoming commonplace
2010-15: Mass sightings of UFOs abundant
2018: Aliens (who look just like us) will come forward. Many are our world leaders.
2020's: Real, life threatening acid rain. Domed cities. An asteroid hits the SW.
2030's: Self Proclaimed Anti-Christ comes forward with mass followers. (She says he will be defeated though)
2040: Moon base established.
2060: Landing, Departings UFOs will be just as common as airplanes.

And those are just the big ones. She said something also about convicted child rapists (male and female) being neutered. Whoa.

So what do you think? Could she be right? Or is she just as bogus as the rest?

One thought that won't leave my mind is that this woman will be dead by 2030 and when her "visions" don't come true, she can't be called out on it. She'll be a ghost saying "Haha, I fooled you bitches and got rich off of it."

I think the fact that she has been brought up on charges of fraud and was busted as being completely wrong about an incident with trapped miners pretty much answers the question if she is legit or not.

Nuff said. I do believe in the psychic phenomena, but there are a lot of frauds out there and Sylvia Browne is one of them.

For the real psychics (if there are any) I'd say that their purpose really isn't to predict the future, but more to answer unsolved questions and crimes.

Not sure she's as gifted as she advertises. I believe in Pyschic abilities adn the supernatural and what not, but I dont think shes as 'omnipotent' as she tries to apepar.

Aah, like the ones who help police officers solve cases. Those are sweet. I saw one once where she grabbed this missing girl's clothing and just started having visions of her death and where her body was. She pointed the police to the woods and gave a decription of a creek and sure enough a few feet away from the creek was her body.

WHY would you get so specific about stuff when you know your bullshitting. Like when she said to that couple " she was shot" wow thats pretty specific on the "how did she die?" question. If you know your full of crap, which she is, what makes you think your gonna be right when someone can die a million different ways. my dad used to have abilities it only worked with people who were family members or close to the family.....he could tell me the date,time and details involved with everyone of my break-ups....he knew all kinds of wierd shit that for awhile i wouldn't believe until shit started happening,but he got an evil bitch girlfriend (whom got her ass whooped by my sister later) that said my dad was evil because of his ability so she made him pray it away.....(he was so whipped it was ridiculous) so now he can hardly see anything.....me and one of my sisters have inhereted some of it a little but not much.....i once saw my ex boyfriend wreck his motorcycle on tv...(the tv was off) i got a call from the hospital two hours later from him.....guess what happened? (this premenition stuff has only happened twice with me that one time and then when my husband was hit by a van while i was in bootcamp.) anyways i think that it is real but to an extent there are limitations.....

Do psychics exists? Absolutely, thats been proven. However Brown is not one of them.
