One of my favorite shooters is going to have a sequel. The way it cliff hanged everyone probably knew it was coming but word is its coming March 2008 for PC/360/PS3. It's going to be hard to impress people after all the great games we got this season but even if its just more of the same (like fear or HL2) I'll still be happy

Nice. I loved the original. If they fix some minor gripes, this should be one of the best tactical shooters of all time.

- The game will have 11 new weapons.

- Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will also feature 11 new multiplayer maps, of which a few remakes from Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

- There will also be 2 new multiplayer modes.

- The Xbox Live part is also expanded with a new 'Search' function, for quicker results in match findings.

- You will also be able to join matches that have already started, so that you don't have to wait until the round is over for you to start.

- Ubisoft has also strongly modified the enemy A.I. for the singleplayer part.

- You will also be able to choose between a male or female character in the singleplayer. Plus you will be able to customize your character in lost of different parts and ways.

- Every cutscene in the game is real-time, like for instance Half Life.

- The singleplayer portion is partly sequel and partly prequel.

- The framerate is much higher, which results in a smoother and better image.

- Still planned for release in the US in March 2008.

My one thing that I hope they fix is the MP terrorist hunt AI. They do the same thing every time, except change the spawn points. Also, it was very glitchy on Realistic mode. The animation of the enemy would have their gun by their side yet bullets fly from it and kill you. Never understood that. However, I played the absolute hell outta of the first one and can't wait for this one.

Havent really digged the newer Rainbow Six's since Raven Shield. I still have a guilty pleasure for Rogue Spear despite it being ancient and super glitched.

I may check this out if the gameplay is anything like oldschool Rainbow Games. I didnt mind Raven Shield so if its anything like that or better, then I might go for it.

Agreed, my biggest gripe was that your squad mates couldn't revive you. That was one of the best things about Republic Commando.

I was a huge fan of the first Vegas, and I still am. I even played through all the terrorist hunt missions on elite, I can't wait for the second one. March 2008? I'm there, opening day with $60.
