wtf do i do now? my xbox is only 7 months old and it pulls this shit? i found a place here in SD that going to charge me 60 bucks to fix it
i was wondering if 60 bucks sounds right or should i send it back to M$? has anyone else has had this misfortune yet?
i just rented mass effect today and the fucking thing froze up right on the title screen!!!

Relax. If the rings aren't flashing, just shut it down, unplug it for a minute or so, and flip it back on. If it is flashing, simply call Microsoft. They'll pay for you to ship it to them, and back....you'll have it in 2 weeks or so. They should also give you some free X-box Live access. Good as new.

Man all of the 360's are defective. Seems like 80% of the systems experience faliure.

Aside from my disc tray not opening properly sometimes, I never got the rings on my 360. It lasted me a year and a half before I sold it to my friend. I'm now waiting to get a new falcon 360.

my last 360 had that same tray problem.

had to use a credit card to help it open after hitting eject.

From what I've read the new 360s with the falcon chip still get the rings, but it's not as common as it is with regular 360s. Although, everyone who has the new falcons haven't had'em exactly long enough to determine whether they'll fail on them later

Mine has the tray problem from time to time, I just turn it on it's side and it opens fine.

I had to keep my on its side, because once it was standing the tray wouldn't open at all.

come on yall im not surprised this crap is happening after all it is basically a computer. what happens to all computers when they are on to long? they get too hot and the systems can't take the heat...sometimes not even a cooler can help the situation....knock on wood it hasn't happened to us yet but if it does im not going to be surprised.......We all know we play our xbox for hours on end sometimes i know my hubby used to leave it on forever even just to stop and watch tv so he wouldn't have to turn it back on...until i kicked his butt over it....i think thats part of the problem leaving it on all the time some people do that.....its not good!!!
