View Full Version : Am I missing something, or is this world really this shitty?

What compels someone to do something like this?
I'll never understand why people kill. What makes someone think they have the right to send someone into eternal darkness? When you kill someone you've taken everything away from them; they'll never breathe another breath of air, they'll never hold someone they love's hand, they'll never aspire to be something...they'll never do a single thing ever again. They're gone, and if you killed them, it's all because of a choice you made to end everything for them.
As bad as it is to do it to anyone...why a kid? Shouldn't the worst that ever happens to them be a knee scrape or losing a stuffed animal?
I'm really at a loss for words. This world is an asylum.

People who do things like this to either children or animals are just spineless. They pick these targets because they don't fight back.

Not much any of us can do in a situation like this. Its all behind closed and locked doors. None of us ever know this is happening until its too late.
As time goes on, things will only get worse.
In a way, you sorta wish there was a real life Jason or Micheal but they instead target these type of people exclusively. In the end, I dont think we can prevent this type of stuff on a large scale but atleast if there were the real life antihero of these sorts. We could clean this kind of stuff up quickly.
Nevertheless, back to reality. Its just another display of blatant disregard and apathy for another person. Add to that, one who obviously cant defend itself.

If they didnt want the child there are many,MANY people who would have taken her.It just sickens me to think they may have done this for some sort of sick pleasure.
I could care less what people think,in my opinion these people should be tortured and beat the same way.

Yeah, it might sound wrong, but I'm right there with you. For some things, there is almost no amount of justice.

You really remind me of Billy Packer a lot.
Sad to see how blind people can be on how to live a decent life. I think about a lot of crazy stuff but this is unimanginable til now.

I really wouldn't go so far as to say the world is shitty. A lot of it is fucked up, but only a portion. I know what you're saying, and to do that to a little girl is horrendous, hardly punishable even by torture I think (that's always the worst, when someone's done something so horrible it can't be matched for justice), but letting single occurances like this define the current state of the world (there's turmoil, I know; and in our world's history this has all been a much better situation before, but it's also been worse) are parallels to what make the bad things in the world. We look at suicide bombers and terrorists and chastize Iraq and Muslims; I'm sure any of you can think of other examples like that.
I guess I'm just saying these are things we need to acknowledge, the evils of the world, but purely for the sake of understanding and the potential for bettering these problems and ourselves; not for the sake of dwelling on the decline of morality or something. The world's got some fucked up people and some really dark corners, and sometimes it's really hard to objectively wrapping your head around them, but with patience and understanding of some of the better things, it's possible, and I think necessary.

Very disgusting...but that poor girl is with the lord now...in a much better place then we reside. And her parents....they'll be the ones in enternal darkness. I don't understand it, nor can I even come close to comprehending it...but to some people...taking another life is like taking a breath. It's sick.

Sadly, alot of the time, this isn't true. Quite often theres signs of problems, but they get ignored.
