The trailer doesn't make it look very good, but that NC-17 limbo comment just made it a must see. If it has content deemed questionable then i'm there. Trailers are usually mediocre anyways..

Title made me think it was about a subway train at night in Chelsea.

apparantly this movie is extremely gory. I read in Fango's article that they used up to 50 gallons of fake blood per day and every night the subway car had to be hosed down. The pics are amazing. Looks like a gooooood one.

Looked good when I saw the trailer at Rambo IV, until the title popped up..Midnight Meat Train sounds like a title for a different kind of movie altogether.

The name makes it seem like a porn flick, but thats what the short story was called by Clive Barker, the film company wanted to changed the name because it sounded like a porn movie, but you gotta give C.B kudos for not letting hollywood fuck with his stuff, I read the book a few years ago and this should be a trippy movie. for some reason the film reminds me of Jacons Latter, even though theres not really any similiarities between the 2 at all.

Been waiting for this for MONTHS. It was supposed to come out in January, but then got pushed back to May, and is now set for August. Hopefully it gets a wide enough release.

They were thinking of changing the title to "Midnight Train". That's stupid. Who cares if it sounds dirty? That just gives it an edge.

Think again. CB doesn't have shit to say about this movie in terms of the finished product. And as you may or may not have noticed...his name is no longer on the film.

He was however on set daily, so I am sure his input is still in there.

No...he wasn't on set daily. Believe me when I say most of his input is absent from the picture.

By all means...see what you think. Just trying to knock down the idea that Clive had a major influence on the final cut. He didn't...despite attempts to assert himself.

I remember seeing the trailer before Rambo a few months ago. I love the man and promo pics but I fee; the trailer is so-so. I'll prob just check out the dvd.

looks like a shame

looks like they took an interesting short story and crossbred it with some weak Japanese horror remake... except maybe a slightly-above-average one

looks slick anyway

There was a long article about it in Fangoria commenting on how incredibly gory it is, mentioning that over 50 gallons of fake blood had been used in a single night of shooting towards the end.

It's August 1st....so...why don't I see it at my theatre on movie tickets.com? Is Clive's work REALLY being held back and only released to limited theatres?! :( This isn't good, I LOVE Clive Barker's work...and to not see this lovely gorefest-over-the-top-horror-masterpiece is like me ripping my balls and dick off and putting them in a meat grinder to give little ol' Susie to buff out of her anorexia...this is BULLSHIT! GIVE CLIVE BACK HIS LIGHT!

The acting and pacing kind of suck, but the gore is fantastic.
Defenitely some shit you havent seen before. Very inventive.
Worth seeing. Cant wait for the directors cut.
