My friend's lookin' to get a new or decent used 4-door Sedan for under $20,000. If anyone has any suggestions it'd be greatly appreciated :D

you know im gonna say Honda civic.
now if you really want cheap 10k go with KIA - 10 years/100,000 mile warranty which is excellent, but I guarantee that warranty is used ALOT. But by the time the warranty expires, the car is paid off and you can go buy another POS. hehe

I drive a Civic and I love it. Never had a bit of trouble out of it.

Honda Accord or Civic. I'd steer clear of Kia's they're buckets. You could get a good used Honda with barely any miles on it for well under 20k. Infact if he checked he could probably get an 07 Accord or Civic for under 20 since the 08's are in now.

I bought a Saturn Ion back in 2003 and the cars been great to me and they get fantastic gas mileage. Their customer service is great too...they really worked with me to get me that car even though I had a crappy trade in and hardly any money down.

Traded in the Stang for a Chevy Cobalt in August so I could have front wheel drive in case when I was promoted, it was somewhere that actually got snow (good thing they sent me to Texas) but i've yet to have problems with it. Oil and stuff only needs to be changed about once every 10,000 miles...and 15k gets you fully loaded minus seat warmers.

must be nice :(
I love those sporty Civics, but the dealer said they only take higher octane gas, and wouldn't perform well if you just put in 87. The way gas prices are going, Ill stick to the 87 rating.

Oil starts to lose its viscosity big time after 3000 miles,I would never wait until 10,000 miles-it's a very good way to throw out a bearing.
