Bad year for the Big 11, though. OSU, Michigan, and Illinois all look to be blown off the field.

There is a college football thread.

Anyway on a side note I will say that a non playoff system is the worst thing ever for college football. There are so many teams that can compete for a championship and some of them aren't even in the BCS games. What a joke. I still cant believe how pathetic it is.

Don't doubt Illinois.. I've watched them play this year and they have a solid football team.

Yeah,I beleive there will be a playoff system within the next few years,And I would like to see them take the top 10 teams, then after that they could always have Bowl games for the other schools not in the top ten.

I would have liked to see how far Hawaii would have gotten this year.

Illinois(13) have a good squad that has a chance of pulling some kind of upset, but they should have never been put in over Mizzou (6). I do not understand how this even happened. Numbers wise Mizzou would win hands down, and votes only count for a small amount.

Illinois - 9-3, 3 losses, mizzou, michigan, iowa. Best wins, 1.Ohio State, 18.Wisconsin
Mizzou - 11-2, Losses, Oklahoma x2. Best wins, no.25 Nebraska, 24. texas tech, no.13 Illinois, 2. kansas. Aside from the 1 extra loss, this record is on par with Ohio States.

There is no reason for Illinois to be in a BCS and not Mizzou.

But anyway....

Probably not to far.
They only faced 2 winning teams, one being boise who played no ranked teams, and the other being Fresno who got spanked by the 2 other ranked teams they played.

Hawaii's schedule was more than cookie cutter. It was a damn bought pack of Chips AHoy.

yes I wanna see a playoff scenario myself. Being from Tennessee I gotta pull for them against Wisconsin. I'm in the SEC but damn it I've always pulled for Hawaii so I hope they beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. I was suprised to see LSU get in but considering both their loses were in like triple overtimes I can see why. I'm happy with it. Just as long as somebody beats Ohio State.

Mighty powerhouses such as Kent State and Akron.

Those teams are the cellar dwellars of the Mid American Conference.
Ohio St. is a joke, hell Minnesota was sticking with them in the first half.

It is not only their non conference schedule but their over all schedule.
Granted you are right, Ohio State did have a weak schedule but they still beat 4 ranked teams and the majority of their schedule was with winning teams.
But in 12 games Hawaii played 4 teams with 1 or 2 wins and 10 or 11 losses and only 2 teams who had even winning records. None who beat any kind of ranked team.
The best team they played was Boise State who had their asses handed to them every time they played a team from a good conference.
