Funny to think about how much this place has changed. Started posting here when I was 16 and now I'm 23. I spent a decent portion of the 'glory years' of my life talking horror movies and pulling dick and fart jokes out at UHM...and it's always been fun.

I think Fright deserves credit for sticking with this place and building it up the way he has over the years. Also, his tolerance is worth noting because this place, unlike other boards, is pretty good-natured for the most part from both members and mods.

Found it just about the same way y'all did... typed "upcoming horror movies" in a search engine and lo and behold, the first site to pop up was this one. I visited the main site for a couple of years before joining the board though.

One of the things I liked about the site from the start was that when I had a question about a movie listed, Fright was always good about replying to an email.

same here.i wanted to know what horror movies were coming out soon,so i typed upcoming horror movies in a search engine.there just happened to be a site of the same name,and i've been here for about four years.

I actually did almost the same thing except my search ended up with upcoming movies followed by upcoming horror movies.

Upcoming movies was a decent site for awhile but as it became more yahoo affliated. It got weak IMO.

I also remember alot of members names. How they came and went, etc. I havent been here through the whole sites existence. I started back in 2001 sometime as I recall.

I believe that i did a search for upcoming horror movies and noticed that this was the first site so i signed up shortly after then. I've been here since at least 2000 probably about a year since the site first started in 1999 etc.

Same as everyone else. About 6 or 7 years or so ago I was searching for good horror movie sites and came across this one. Didn't take to long to join the board, went on a posting binge under the name DeAdBoDyMaN for the first 2 or 3 years maybe then I quit coming here until a few months ago when I re-registered. AGAG @ What a Waste, I so remember that phrase.

One of the ads made an impression when it randomly screamed every minute or so. When I wanted to find out more about Freddy vs Jason, I remembered the place and spent a while googling to find it again. Joined up that night and have loved it since.

That was around the same time I was leaving another message board due to drama.

About sometime in either 99 or 2000 I was lured here with the promise of candy, soda and fun games. Instead what I got was just a whole lot of sodomy.

Don't remember exactly when I showed up, just about everyone who has replied I remember as being "noobs" most notably koolmike and Knight but it was some time after AshVamp/Il Duce.

I feel this is one of the strongest message boards for horror. I tried going on different ones (BD, dvd aficianado etc.) but half the time its a bunch of whining users bickering about which horror icon is bigger. Whose DVD collection is bigger, Whose dick is smaller . WHO GIVES A FUCK.

yes the board can be slow at times, but whenever an interesting topic or movie is posted, we have (mostly) intelligent conversations that give users insight. I'll be around till this board is retired.

Instead of typing in upcomingmovies.com I just typed in www.upcominghorrormovies.com I did this like 5 years ago and I didnt decide to become a member until last year. I would read the msg board here when it was public a long time ago, thats why I know a little of the past here. I believe I googled info about a horror film and ended up clicking on a link and ended up here. I found the database of movies pretty cool and informative and I kind of glanced over the message board a bit then finally set up an account here.. been here ever since, it's been a fun 2 years so far.

I would always go to upcomingmovies.com to see what was coming out...then one day i slipped in my tub, banged my head and when I came to I had a dream, a vision. I ran to my computer typed in upcominghorrormovies and my life hasnt been the same since.

As for why he stopped posting, I never found out. He was just here, then not here for months, then he came back for a few months and left again.

The worst thing about Elder is sometimes he couldn't take what he could give, but the best thing about the douche was he did post some pretty funny shit sometimes. It is odd not having him around to push his conservatism here. :lol:

Most memebers left cause of the removal of General Chatter...he however was in favor of getting rid of it. Not sure why he left.

"upcoming horror films." There were several sites. Once I clicked here...I became a member shortly after and have been here ever since.

Five years ago I was on a mission to gather cow meat for a burger in India and our party was attacked by stranger dancing and singing men and women speaking a language that sounded like baby talk and yiddish they surroudned us and forced us to watch their terrible bollywood films.

Being that my glasses were knocked off and that I'm partially deaf in my right ear I alone managed to survive an onslaught of dancing women with high pitched voices and men trying to pull off a miami vice look in turbans.

While my captors were busy signing an 'I hate pakistan' card I was able to run into the jungle and lived with some wild children who had fun and games.

One child in particular caught my attention as he had a finger growing from his forehead.

After 2 weeks of this strange lifestyle I returned to the US a much humbler, wiser man. For now I knew that in this country there is such a thing as McDonalds and Burger king where I can get my cow meat for a so-so price.

So what I'm trying to say is I cant really remember, but still here after almost 6 years.
