Lionsgate has officially set the release date for Saw V. Which will be arriving in theaters Oct 24th 2008. Shock says, some of Saw V has already been shot. I was hoping they were aiming to release it on Halloween, because next year Halloween falls on a Friday.

Still havent seen 4. They are probably playing it safe for the 24th right now. They probably want to see what other horror related movies will be out before they "move" it to the 31st.... I doubt they are worried about it flopping if a "bigger" movie comes out, which is unlikely.

im really over this torture stuff. Saw 3 wasn't bad but they should have ended it there. I never saw part 4 and I have no intentions to see a part 5.

Part 4 was my second favourite. The first being my favourite. Two was decent, and the third sucked horribly.

I laughed when they said they already have scenes filmed. Must have done the filming during parts of Saw IV. I'll keep watching these if they are still creative and have all those insane bloody traps.
:dsp: Chief I am wondering how many times you have said your over it. We all heard you the first time and the time after that and the time after that and the time after that and the time after that. You see how being repetitive is annoying?

I check out the rest of Oct and Nov now i see why they pick the 24th. So Saw V can hold down the #1 for 2 Weeks than November 7 the new Bond movie will be out and Madagascar: The Crate Escape and we know how those anima movies make money. And Nov.21st Harry Potter hit the big screen again. So i see the dont want to compete with Bond and Harry Potter.

Saw V Plot Synopsis:
Now from the Rotten Tomatoes Forums comes the supposed synopsis for the upcoming Saw V movie. FYI they source IMDB pro so who knows if this is fact or fiction but the concept is plausible.
John Kramer has been confirmed dead, and Hoffman, who admires Jigsaw's work is hunted and captured by the sadistic apprentice currently unkown. Agent Perez, who is in critical condition, is suddenly missing, and awakes to find herself at the beinning of the apprentice's new work.
Perez is told she has limited time to live without medication to find Hoffman, the man who caused her to be hospitalized. Fulfilling her task, Perez confronts dreadful fears in which include meeting her missing partner, Strahm, who has suffered from Hoffman's acts as well, but in another drastic manner.
Plausible? Sounds off in the comments.

There's MUCH worse I could be spending my 20$ on every year. Decent gore, and they keep me entertained. I'm sick of the "I'm so over torture" trend.

I'm not really over the torture trend, just these movies that have an exhausted plotline
