just started collecting myself. So my pickins are slim to none at the moment. But I've generated a huge list of comics that I'd like to have and will hunt down with the fury of Kraven.....god I need to take a break from reading comics. Got any comics that are worth a lot? Or just got some that you find very very cool and worth while(or funny, I'm gonna find me some spider-ham comics myself)

I inherited a box of comics from my dad back when I was 13, alot of old good stuff that's in great condition. Lots of old Spider-man, X-Men, Capt. America, Green Lantern, Iron Man, Fantastic Four. I collected some myself, including the first 4 issues of Spawn and some later X-Men, along with the limited series of Gambit, but lately I haven't bought squat. I know alot my older comics are worth quite a bit. I know one of my Uncanny X-Men (#74) is worth about $250.00.
If anyone is looking for anything, let me know and I'll take a look.

Aye similar to me.
When i was 12 my uncle passed away and i inherited his comic collection. Quite a few very valuable comics in there. Old supermans, old batmans, old fantastic four, captain america, captain marvel, ect ect. The most valuable one is X-Men 1 though. I am considering having it CGC graded but i dont really want trust the mail system.
The comics i have bought throughout my life are not as impressive though. Most from around 85-95. I do however have every single star wars comic made heh. Dark horse and marvel.

I have all the Spider-Hams. I stopped collecting comics in the early 90s. I read Spider-Man consistantly, but it Jjust got too expensive and collecting for value had gone down the toilet. I probably have around 2,000 comics ranging from the 60s to early 90s, with a couple of older ones mixed in there. The older ones have value, as with anything, because not as many were made and people used to just lose or throw them out.

I've been collecting consistently for 20 years, so the collection stands at a bit over 4,000 at present. The vast majority of it is from that time period, so its value is mainly personal. I have a few Neal Adams issues of Detective Comics from the early 70s that are worth a bit, as well as the first appearances of Matt Wagner's Grendel and Jim O'Barr's The Crow.

My wife and I do when we can. Problem is that the only store in South Austin sucks. Royally. The only other place with a decent collection is Border's, which has racks full of abused and horribly bent up comics.
As soon as I go full time up north I'll have access to better places again.

I had comics when I was like 7 or 8 then one of my older brother's friend stole them all. I had a printer paper box full of them (upright) oh well. never bought one since other than The Crow one because I was a Brandon Lee fanboy

I'm thinking of starting a collection of just acclaimed Batman mini-series and those one issue only series like The Killing Joke (I forgot what they are called) and horror comics.

Stay away from Frank Miller's Batman. Everything I've seen of it is a terrible joke.
Batman Confidential has had a few iffy moments, too.

well, in TDKR, he kills Superman which is something I dream of everyday, so I'd like to see it on paper.

Buffy "season" 8. The Preacher series. And the 30 Days of Night graphic novels are all I really own. I'd love to get into comics and GN's more, but I figure my dvd, book, and food habits are expensive enough.
