I just got back from it seeing it and I thought it was pretty good. Great special effects and I love Armored polar bear fight scene. That was pretty much the best part of the whole movie.

If you are a very religion christian then you may not like this movie. Because it was pretty much an anti god movie.

7/10

I want to see this. I've heard its one of the better fantasy films to come out/be coming out.

ive heard a lot of religious people getting pissy about it. But the movie doesnt really interest me. If it gets a lot of good reviews I might rent it.

According to Box Office Mojo, it cost 150 million to make. And it flopped.

7.5 out of 10. I've read the orrigenal trillogy of books and it was more faithfull. However, I will say that they should of never of tried to make this out to be th next LOTR.

And as one side thing I can't help on ranting about.......THAT ENDING WAS BULLSHIT! It was like 4 chapters back in the book from the orrigenal ending, and I know they shot the first ending because I could see it in the first trailer!

There...I needed to let that out. Oh, and while it hasn't done well in the US, it has made 60 Mil alone in the UK, since the books where more popular there. I'm hoping they do a Director's Cut of the DVD and have the real ending in it.

Budget
$150,000,000 (estimated)

But this weekend it only made around $26 million. High dvd sales are needed to break even imo

$26 US + $60 UK is already halfway to recovering their money -- on opening weekend no less.

I want to see this, but almost certainly need to wait until the DVD.

Film looks like a fun watch. I really should read the books.
