Granted UHM isnt much of a hockey zone for all intent and purposes and I'd say im more of a casual viewer. Nevertheless for those for are, I figured we'd put together atleast one thread and bump it every once and awhile.

Anyway.

Bruins have been playing some good hockey as of late. Above .500 and in the thick of the playoff picture early on. Nevertheless the myth that they have great goaltending right now is frivolous at best. Tim Thomas is OK when hes not hurt, but he usually needs a good defense in front of him to actually be decent. I've seen him and in particular the Defense blow 3 goal leads without even being hit with powerplay goals and thats not the mark of a great goalie or great goaltending IMO.

For me, making the playoffs and making it out of the first round would be a good season or even just making the playoffs IMO.

Glad to see that the Flyers are in the mix of things way better than last year's season. Loved the game against the Peguins the other night that spanked on them in goals and fights etc.

After sucking for so long the Blackhawks are finally on track. Jonathon Toews and Patrick Kane are 18 and 19 respectively and they are better than some veteran players. Not to mention the Hawks team is fairly young. I expect them to make the playoffs but I can't wait until next year when they put a few more pieces in place and make a serious run.

I am glad to see a old school tem like the Black Hawks hell even like the flyers coming back strong. Just wish my leafs could do the same.

Speaking of the flyers, seems like they are back to the way it was before the lock out. The bruisers that could kill your entire team if you didnt keep your head up. Of course they have caused some very dirty and nasty hits but i still like to see some hard hitting teams

Kinda sad that such a good team has already dropped 4 games to the Blackhawks this season.

Detroit sucks..:D

Frankly, The Red Wings and the Blackhawks are one of the greatest rivalries in sports, there's usually more fights in the stands than on the ice at some of those games.

Well tonight its not looking good for the Redwings there down too Edmonton 3-2 with only like 6 mins left i think. Damn flyers lost to the Habs 4-1 but they got Carolina on Sat which they have owned with 3 straight they need to break this WLWLWL streak soon.

They should win the cup...but they'll fuck it up somehow. If the Wings don't win it, Ottawa should.

Its also good to see the Flyers not sucking it up this season.

Montreal also started off strong and now they are doing shitty.

Funny thing about that Boston vs Jersey game that due to a snowstorm they only had a crowd of 1,500.:ahheh:

I'm a leafs fan aswell, not so hardcore since Belfour left, but I agree we need to clean house somwhat... Sundin's still great, umm I guess first and foremost we need better goaltending.

You have Vesa Toskla but he's been hurt for the last few games so your stuck with Andrew Raycroft and he isn't as good.

Curtis Joseph signed a deal with The Flames. Interesting stuff.

They do, Detroit should win the cup by all fairness, but it never happens. I just hope a Canadian team takes it this year, the past few years we've come soo close.

They got him so they can give there #1 goalie a little more rest near the end of the season for a possible playoff run etc.

The Maple Leafs have a new GM. This won't save their season though.

Bruins cooled off.

Would be surprised if they hang on.

I'm surprised that at the midpoint, only 2 teams truly look to be eliminated. I mean the hawks lost 8 straight, but they just reeled off 4 straight and are going for 5 tonight, and they are only 5 points out of the 8th spot. Granted so is every other team.
