basically its totally different games. Versus is a fast pace real time hack n slash made by Nomura the character designer of old FF games and who directed Kingdom Hearts series & FFVII Crisis Core. Versus will be the first dark FF game and its said the lines between good and evil will be blurred.

FFXIII is a more typical FF game. Word is it'll be pseudo real time turn based but the transition from areas and combat is fluid and seamless. Its going to be a step further than FFXII. Game is directed by Kitase who was in charge of Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Kitase was also the producer for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 and is rumored to also be in charge of the FFVII Remake... another words the story is going to be good.
