Im still waiting for NYJ to lose there first round draft pick for filming in the end zone against the Pats last season, as per NFL rules no camera is allowed to film on field unless in the designated area with a top over the camera.

Glad to see that all is fair among the NFL and the fans....

Quit your whining. The NFL didn't enforce anything because there was nothing to enforce. The Jets didn't break any rules.

And stop believing everything the dumb ass media tells you and learn to recognize bullshit stories the media invents in order to hype up a game.

Whining? What do I have to whine about man? The pats are a month and half from completing the greatist season your jack ass will ever witness to cap off what will be the greatist dynasty your jack ass will ever see and when it's said and done with, oh yea the Pats have a top 5 pick in the draft.

God I hope its the Packers who get the 50 to 10 ass whipping in the SB.

Pats Garbage.

Max Payne

dont know what that means but you can enjoy the historical season as well.

Haven't seen the Pats lay down 50 on anyone as of late.

But I would LOVE to see the Packers and Patriots in the SB. Mainly because nobody would be giving the Packers any shot whatsoever at winning, but if they did, oh man. The Patriots 'perfect' season would go down as the biggest flop in the history of pro football by a long shot and the Pats would be the laughing stock of the NFL for a long, long time. Meanwhile, a QB legend has a proper send off and rides into the sunset like John Elway.

What a great thing that would be, but of course, if you think the Patriots should be punching their own tickets to the SB already then you really are a friggin' blind ass homer fool.

would be even funnier if they lost their first playoff game, doubt it'll happen though

You know, anything can happen in the playoffs,Colts and Chargers are not gonna be pushovers.
I would hate to be a team that goes 16 -0 and then loses in the playoffs. So yeah,it might be a historical season either way.

A Superbowl loss would hurt 10x more, and that's what I would love to see our resident homer here go through. I would totally get off on that.

They would still have a perfect season, no matter what spin you put on it.

Any team can beat any team on any given Sunday. To think otherwise is to be a complete fool.

Cause the NFL keeps regular season and post season records seperate, the Pats already own the NFL for most wins in a row, 21, however the official record stands at 18 because they don't count the three post season games.

So like I said, no matter what way you look at it, it would still stand.

I'm pretty sure, that the pats could care less of goin' 16-0 and if they lose in the playoffs... if u don't win a superbowl ur season is nothin'. just another year of playin'. The whole Object is to win a superbowl, not to make and break records.

Meh I look at the whole thing as their damned either way.

If they choke, so be it. They'll be the laughing stock of the league for years just as many want to happen. If they win it all, the haters arent going away and it will be a small token victory until the offseason when they have to rehaul a team that has alot of guys looking for a payday they wont get it here.

Either way, people wont change their opinions on the Pats. They were hated and 'blamed' if you will for the 2001 snow bowl or in other parts of the country, the tuck game in which the Pats told the refs to 'reverse' the call on the field so they would have a second chance.

They were hated then when they were just a miracle team with a bunch of aging scrubs. Their hated now and when they fade into obscurity. They'll still be hated and talked about just like the other franchises that won and fell into a dipper.

Couldn't care less about the Patriots. But there seems to be at least one moron fan of them on any given internet message board.

Prior to 2001, finding a Patriots fan anywhere was quite the daunting task. Funny how that works.

True, but that can be said about any team.

The 49ers were nothing before the 80s, the Cowboys had spurts in there were they were nothing. The Steelers were nothing before the 70s. For two decades, the Packers werent much of a powerhouse. Fans of those organizations came when they got successful and the reputation of their fanbase lingered far after their teams success. Anyone who says different is oblivious to the truth IMO.

Its all wishy washy. Same thing will happen to the Pats fanbase when this thing finally starts to rust away. Then the next big franchise comes out of nowhere and that fanbase will be in the same vogue as this one and the ones prior.

Not so much a problem with the 'fans' as a whole, because there's some good ones out there who can discuss football and handle their teams' success without being a complete douche.

But Max Payne takes homer douchitude to the next level.

120% correct.

Problem with things today unlike yesteryear many moons ago is the net. Created so many fake fans and trolls who basically start alot of the stuff that causes these things.

Dude whats your point?

I don't suppose growing up watching a historied franchise like the Packers has anything to do with you being a fan of them?

And don't even bother saying it's your home team because living in NE covers that for me.

I understand your sentiment, but I also understand the true undertone to it, anyone who follows the NBA on this board can confirm that Ive been a Celts fan and why on earth would anyone be a Celts fan giving the last 15 years? It doesn't matter why Im a fan of the Celts and the same reason applies for the Pats, and you can count on it when the Pats go through there 5-11 seasons again (happened a few times right before Belechick got here) Ill still be a fan. Bank on it

How so? Red has went out of his way to proove that he isn't a homer, and what has it earned him? He picked against the Pats atleast twice this year, and I bet you a 100 percent that looking back, he wonders why he did. I remember in 03/04 he picked the Pats week in and week out, caught hell for it too, but the Pats only lost 4 games in that span, so is he a homer? Or does he know how to pick games?

Gimmie break, my homerism is as bad or good as it is with yours.

Meh sloppy win today.

Brady to Moss is fun when it works but when Brady constantly decides to throw the ball down the field to him on every fucking play. It really hurts the offense. I want the QB who spreads the ball around as Brady was known for in the past. Not the guy whose gonna force the ball to a covered reciever on 2nd and 3rd down on every drive.

Cost you drives and points. I have complained alot about certain aspects of this team so far this season. Nevertheless, this surfacing problem with Brady to Moss on virtually every play no matter the coverage is very much a deep concern IMO.

They got away with it today because the Phins are below mediocre but they wont against teams that can score points, as they will see in the playoffs.

Max Payne
12-23-2007, 06:11 PM
Think the sloppy play in the SECOND half was a result of being up by 28, where is the motivation to play when you know you got the win?

Calm down, if it was tied, you wouldn't of seen all those deep pases, alot more of the short passes would of changed that sloppy second half.

If they play like that next week. Kiss 16-0 goodbye but that said maybe the loss will help them going into the playoffs IMO. Remotivate them to play better overall in the playoffs.

they play like that next week, then they win 28-7? right?

the gaints will be resting there players anyways, if not, there mediocre anyways.

16-0 is as good as done, need to make sure they don't blow it in the playoffs.

glad your comparing the taping of one half, of a team that has won 3 games, in a sporting event to something like murder.

you can't wild me up on this, it was inevitible that unless the Bears cheated like the Pats, that there D would only last so long. Now you can kiss the success away, and Briggs can look good lined up next to AT.

What do the Bears have to do with the Pats? Bears had a bad season, dissapointing? yes. but you bringing it up to try to rub salt in the wounds isn't gonna work, not to mention I've put most of my attention on the NHL at this point..

And have you never heard the phrase "Getting Away With Murder"..it's a figure of speech.. Do you assume when people say that it's raining cats and dogs, that a doberman is about to land on your car?

I think you missed my point, your talking about spygate, in week 16. That news is 4 months old, and anyone who can look at the situation without judgement would come to the conclusion that taping one half of signals against a shitty team, being confiscated at half time, and then every game tape since 2000 being handed over to the NFL and destroyed all in week one couldn't possibly come to the conclusion that the Pats cheated to 15-0, so sorry man, it's not me rubbing salt in anyones wounds, it's you being envious and using an excuse.

That's why I said the Bears, giving there record, should of done the same thing.

Don't know why your so pissy, your on your way to UHM Fantasy championship again. And you beat me to do it.

Lotta teams coughed up chances yesterday.

Minny and Cleveland both lose control of their playoff fate with losses. The Pack with a chance to atleast make Dallas sweat to have to win in Washington to secure homefield but they lose a tough game to Chicago where the special teams self destructed.

Nevertheless, 13-3 and a bye week is a damn good regular season.
