Death Sentence

Not a bad revenge thriller. Pretty much zero dramatic elements, but I didn't expect a masterpiece out of this going in. I just wanted to see some guy take justice into his own hands and kick some ass, and that's pretty much what I got. I enjoyed it.

I might pick it up today. Revenge flicks are just about the only ones I'll blind buy. They're my favorite sub-genre. I've been interested in this flick for a while, but I didn't get around to seeing it in theaters.

Yeah with Kevin Bacon shaving his head, getting shot in the neck and shooting the guys fingers off reminded me of Taxi Driver.

Question:

Did Kevin Bacon die at the end of this movie? Also I didn't hear what the detective said to him at the end about his son, did he live or die?

My favorite type of films are revenge films but I just thought this was decent at best.

*Spoilers* Seriously, what the fuck. Where were the police after two of their own got killed by the gang? I've never seen such a shitty, useless police department. I'm also sick of the fucking, lets put two police officers in a car to guard x, cut to x who looks out at the police car to see two dead officers. Give me a fucking break this is done in every other movie. The final shoot out just seemed liked it was ripped straight out of Taxi Driver. This movie just frustrated and disappointed me.*End Spoilers*

Yeah, the movie was pretty dumb in just about every possible way. It had some good action scenes but that's about it.
