Not sure if we've touched upon this yet. I recall one for Horror but not Non Horror unless I missed it.

Anyway, there have been alot of good ones but for me it ends with Field of Dreams.

I suppose it helps that its my all time favorite movie. Some look it as a cheesefest with no underlying purpose but for me. There was absolutely nothing negative about the movie. The biggest reason the movie works so well for me is the SCORE. Its some of the most heartfelt I've ever heard in my life. As it is, this of one of the few movies that I have ever cried with.

Composed by James Horner. This is easily my all time favorite score. There is nothing like it IMO. Sure their are other good scores out there. But man when anyone asks me or whenever I think of it. This score with this movie pops in directly.

In the end, its not about baseball. Its about life and second chances. Compliment that with an absolutely beautiful score and for me it was the perfect movie with the perfect score.

Everything from the eery score with the 'voice' in the first half of the film to the heartfelt sympathy and tragedy with the second half of the film and the individual character stories within echoed with their own scores.

So in the end, the simplistic yet symbolic score of Field of Dreams gets my vote.

Clint Mansell is probably the best. Smokin' Aces soundtrack is amazing. Some of my favorites are Hans Zimmer and Marco Beltrami. We Own the Night is pretty good too

Morricone's score to 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and Poledouris's work on 'Conan the Barbarian' are serious contenders for best ever. 'Star Wars' and 'Jaws' be damned.

Also rather enjoy Danny Elfman's jingles from 'Pee Wee's Big Adventure' and Ottman's 'The Usual Suspects'.

Agree on Pee Wees Big Adventure, also I love the Elfmans music for Batman, and my all time favorite score is Indiana Jones with the runner up being Back To the Future

John Williams seems to always deliver when called upon. Alot of films mentioned so far with his work involved.

Could include Home Alone with that. Created a score that worked well for a movie like that.

Nick Cave is one of my favorite artists, and The Proposition soundtrack does kick some serious ass... The Assasination of Jesse James soundtrack he and Warren also did is very solid as well.
