Let's Go JAX!

I am really impressed with Seattles Kicker Josh Brown. Not only does that guy have a good leg but he makes some great tackles. He was weaving through players and pushed a Skins returner out of bounds that would have turned into a touchdown. Also, during the season he totally jacked up Devin Hester which few have done.

Nearby Hasselbeck is going to want some revenge after that one overtime loss a few years back. "We're going to get the ball, and we're going to win."

Greenbay got the best possible oppenent, we're terrible on the road :(

Love the win but GB on the road = a trip to the liquor store + Tylenol

Jacksonville is raping the Stealers.

Kerney is a friggin' beast though. Could force Brett into his typical postseason boneheaded plays since the Pack like to sacrifice protection for their 4 and 5 WR sets.

Hope Grant gets his share of carries next week and Brett keeps himself in check.

steelba
01-05-2008, 08:52 PM
Yeah well I would much rather roll into Dallas with the way they're playin. As much of an asshole Hawks fan as I am, I'd prefer to skip GB. We are so overmatched in offense :2far:

I bet on Jacksonville :ahheh:

Now I predict the Giants murder Tampa :D

Not that you'd know anything about living in an actual house other than your mothers...

You'd rent in California too if you had to pay 5 times as much as they're actually worth anywhere else in the nation. California is the absolute worst place to buy a house.

I was hoping Washington would be going to Dallas. Oh well.

I suppose at least one playoff win by the Pack is anticipated (or hoped for) now, but really, anything beyond this point is just bonus. 13-3 was an unexpected season by everyone, including the 'experts'. Take a look at pre-season playoff predictions. Just horrible. They're 'experts' - they should know what they're talking about.

Anyway, being they're the youngest team in the league, and all the youngins are locked up for awhile, the future looks great.

Knight
01-05-2008, 11:12 PM
True Scare, 13-3 is a damn good feeling considering how the Pack were supposed to finish .500 or below. A first round bye and a 2nd seed would have been a ludicrous homer prediction 16 weeks ago. Just about all the other playoff teams were 'supposed' to be here at this point.

That said, I'm personally over the 'feel good' aspect and am expecting a little more out of this team. The reality is--there two games away from the Superbowl. The defense is solid and Favre has never had this many weapons on offense. 13-3 isn't a fluke. It's the record of a football team who should be making a legit run at the big dance.

One thing I just don't want to see again is another Favre meltdown like we saw in the Dallas game where he was launching mortars into double coverage. He has a damn good team around him and I hope he realizes he doesn't have to do everything by himself.

I'm interested to see how McCarthy handles the postseason pressure and if we have another Mike Sherman on our hands or not.

Scaremonger
01-05-2008, 11:24 PM
If they do make it back to Dallas, at least two key defensive players will be there this time and that eliminates any excuses. I wouldn't doubt it if Rogers turns back into a pumpkin eventually, and his performance at D was smoke and mirrors, but maybe he is the real deal. But I expect the Pack to learn something from what worked, and what didn't the last go around.

I don't think McCarthy naps at scouting camps. That gives him an edge over Sherman right off the bat. :D

Nothing really earth shattering from yesterdays games.

Seahawks and Jags found ways to win.

Seahawks get a date with GB while the Jags will most likely come to Foxboro in a week barring a Titan upset over San Diego which isnt out of the realm of possibility given San Diego's recent postseason history. Time will tell if Marty was the real reason why San Diego didnt do anything last year or doesnt do anything in this postseason.

If Eli can play as well as he did against the Pats. I expect a Dallas/Giants showdown. If not, it will be Tampa/Dallas nevertheless I dont really trust Tampa even with a steady QB like Garcia at QB. Jon Gruden hasnt exactly done much with that team since it started aging and drifting in 2002. Time will tell if he can get back that early career mojo he had with Oakland.

Eli and the G-men beat up on the vastly overrated Bucs. If San Diego doesn't choke it'll be a perfect week for picks.

NFC games look alot better than the AFC games next week.

Jax/NE has the potential to be a good game but no way San Diego with Rivers playing the kind of QB he is does San Diego go into Indy and win IMO. Unless LT has a rediculous game and if Gates isnt playing, forget it.

Great win for NY but more importantly after the Toomer TD eli was screaming....SCREAMING!! He showed some emotion! I really think we can give the cowboys problems. I'm pulling for GB we can't beat the hawks in Seattle
