I have a friend who has two hard drives in his computer. One is split for a certain purpose and that is to put music on there.
However he doesnt know how to directly save to one hard drive. He can drag the files he wants straight to that hard drive no problem. However he wants to avoid doing this by saving music files straight to the section of the split hard drive.
two questions, can it be done and if so how?
thanks for the help.

He should be able to simply choose the partition he wants when he saves the files. If he split the drive it would (should) add 2 more drive letters...
C: - 1st master/bootable HD
d: - CD rom
e: - 2nd slave drive 1st partition (music)
f: - 2nd slave drive 2nd partition
but if he partitioned and XP didnt pick it up, he can assign a drive letter to it. follow the guide below. very easy to do, make sure he is an administrator of the machine.

I've had computers that always bump the CD drives to the end.
One really easy way to know which is which would be to go to My Computer and name each hard drive.

Totally unrelated but Elwood...
I assume that you're a huge Blues Brothes fan, what do you think of Rubber Biscut (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYyBZE0kBtE)?

great fun tune... anything those guys did was great. I mean when you cover a song so well people start to think you did the original version of it... well your damn good.

I met Dan Akroyd 3 weeks ago. I got him to autograph my Ghostbusters DVD set and a bottle of his wine. He traveled around Canada promoting his new wine. It was awesome to meet him.
