Not sure what this is or what to make of it...but whatever it is, I'm there. I thought it was a new game, but evidently it's just a CG movie that is directly tied to the game series.

Its more than likely barring change that this movie will be canon towards the series. Taking place 1 year after RE4 with a rumored plot involving Leon coming back from Spain where he was in RE4 probably meeting up with Claire with either the T Virus or Las Plagas which was brought on the plane.

Only speculative of course.

Nothing wrong with Leon IMO.

He was a mainstay in arguably the two best games in the series in RE2 and RE4. A hotass, twisted relationship or lack thereof with Ada Wong, also RE2 and RE4.

Chris is a nice character and all, but hes not Leon. Hes far too plain and wimpy IMO. Maybe RE5 will change my opinion on Chris but from the RE remake and Code Veronica. Hes Wesker's little bitch and nothing more IMO.

Add in Leon maybe reuniting with Claire which is pretty cool considering Claire has kinda been MIA from the series in terms of in vogue. Then again Rebecca and Barry are probably the two characters with the least closure or updates in the series.

All that said, if the movie is truly canon to the series. I think maybe have a surprise and kill of a mainstay character in the series for once IMO. Whether its Leon, Claire or someone else IMO. Unless Capcom plans on keeping them all alive for countless entry after entry or one big finale entry. Killing off main characters would be just another way to freshen up what is a fresh series in recent time IMO.

the games are cannon, the books are poorly written bastardizations of the games with redundancies instead of chapters, and the movies material and 'content's are about as cannon as an albino pygmi wearing a gestapo uniform with pink dyed hair, a spotted strap on while chanting 'seig heil' down the streets of Germany on a documentary film about 'Adolf Hitler' from the creators of the blair witch project, produced by Michael Bay and written By Uwe Boll's retarded younger gay sister 'pissing-in-da'.

I dont have much faith in this project though, Cpacom NEVER ever gets americans correct in the games, so to make a movie about another american zombie outbreak seems a little questionable. but still, least they've said 'fuck Anderson, we'll try it ourselves'
