Like I said in my old post after viewing the pre-air, I just hope that the production values don't go down after the first few episodes since it seems like they put a lot into the pilot.

Great show....it will definetly be added to my list of regulars. I love how they made this fit with T3 by having the machines go back to 1999 at first, so that all the events in T3, which takes place in 2003, have technically been bypassed. It's also good that they got a someone who looks like John did in T2 to play his part.

I saw it lastnight and I think it could have been so much better but with the tv show budget I'm sure they have to cut corners, so for that I'm impressed. Not bad, but the episode tonight looks better which is good because if the show doesn't pick up I will probably stop watching

I knew that they wouldn't have any problem fitting this in with T1 or T2 but I was a touch worried they were gonna ignore and change up parts from T3 to make it fit, but to my surprise, it's all fitting together very well. Great show.

I just realized something about John Conner. His father was Kyle Reese, who came to the past to stop the Terminator from killing Sarah Conner, and in the process fathered John Conner. But if they stop SkyNet, won't John Conner cease to exist? If SkyNet never takes over, then there will be no war, no Terminators, and no reason for Kyle Reese to travel into the past, which in turn should erase John Connor from existence.

John Conner is born from Kyle Reese (a time traveler) and Sarah Conner. If they stop(ped) Skynet, only Reese's life will have changed in the future. Since John has already been born, techinically in the past, nothing would change.

This is my view on the time travel.
At one point there was an original timeline and John had a different father.
Fast forward a few years and we have Reese sent back in time,then he disrupts the original timeline making a new one,and becoming John's father,now we have a loop,a paradox.
The Terminator really cant kill John in the past,because then John wouldnt become an adult,so then there wouldnt have been a reason to send a Terminator back in time.
Without John in the future there is no reason to send a Terminator back,if they dont send a Terminator back,John grows to lead the human resistance against the machines.

The idea of Kyle Reese having a brother is something different. I have a feeling Detective Ellison will be further involved in the coming episodes. He's onto whats going on for the most part but he hasnt gotten there yet.

Anyhow, this is a television show. Most tv shows don't rely on continuity half the time because they'd rather have ratings than make sense. So, I really doubt they've thought about the fact that if they stop SkyNet then there will not be a John Connor. If they have thought about it, then the only explanation or reasoning is to make John go *poof*. Otherwise, it won't work.

My theory is, if they have thought about it (the writers), then Sarah is gonna stop them from stopping SkyNet since it would mean the end of John and Judgement Day is gonna happen anyhow. She'll make a long speech: John, you're strong. After all, you're my son, blah, blah, blah. But that's just my opinion.

Well the whole premise of T2 was that they stopped skynet. As Arnold said in T3, Judgemnt Day is inevitble....everytime they find a way to stop it, it happenes a different way.

Cameron's not gone....have you not seen the films? Arnie and Robert Patrick were both blown to shit in a fireball created by a gas tanker...something that burned much hotter and had a much bigger "boom", and they both walked out. If anything, her flesh will just be gone.

The idea behind that for me is just a precaution incase they cant retain Summer Glau or decide in general not to bring her back for a second season. Of course they'd be stupid not to.
