Didn't really like the original, so I don't care if they remake it or not:

Has potential. But it'll probably be shit like The Fog remake...garbage.

"Wes Craven said that he doesn't want this remake to be as brutal as the original was, and instead wants it to be more story-driven."

That peice of news gives me some hope that this won't be retarded.

I enjoyed the original in some aspects, but in no way was it as brutal and shocking as some people say. Maybe thats getting into the "desensitized" thread that is currently being discussed.

I think for its time it was brutal. being stabbed almsot naked multiple times, struck people hard I bet then.

this movie didn't try to be entertaining. It just tried to be disturbing and repulse you. Didn't care for that. Hopefully the remake will be different.

Or they'll go too far and you'll be more entertained by smacking your head against a wall. We shall see...

The original version of The Fog was awful, I'm still dumbfounded as to why they decided to do a remake. Who really expects to scare people with the legend of angry pirate ghosts in the 21st century? Pirates belong in comedies and adventures.

I always watched the original fog and thought you know. This isn't to bad but I wouldn't mind seeing a remake. Then the remake came out and it was GOD AWFUL. Pirate ghosts wouldn't actually be scary to me, but it could have been fun. I always thought the old man telling the story in the beginning of the original was creepy. And for some reason the Garfield Halloween episode with the pirate ghosts came to mind. LOVE THAT.
