Three brilliant films form The Vengeance Trilogy! Directed by Korea's Park Chan-wook.

Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance:

This is the first film in Park Chan-wook's brilliant Vengeance trilogy. Needing money for a vital
kidney transplant to save his sister's life, a deaf mute and his girlfriend kidnap a wealthy businessman's
daughter, only to have things go terribly, terribly wrong.

A compelling study of love and revenge- MR VENGEANCE is one of the most unforgettable films
ever produced.

Oldboy:

It's a bizarre and captivating premise: returning home after a night of drinking, a businessman
is mysteriously kidnapped and imprisoned. He has no idea who his captors are, or what his crime
has been. Worse, he has no idea how long he will be imprisoned. The years drag on and his anger
and rage grow. In between the periods of psychosis and helpless anguish he learns from the
small television in his room that his wife has been murdered and that he has been charged, in absentia,
with the crime. Then one day, quite without warning or reason, he is set free, given money and
a mobile phone, and invited to find the man who stole fifteen years of his life. Kinetic and energetic,
funny and more than a little insane, Old Boy is a turbo-charged explosion of narrative that
grabs you from its opening frame and never lets go.

Sympathy For Lady Vengeance:

At the age of 19, Geum-ja is imprisoned for the murder of a child - a murder committed by her
accomplice Mr Baek. Geum-ja prepares her revenge by winning the hearts of her fellow prisoners.
Upon release 13 years later and with the help of her former inmates, she orchestrates a
careful plot to seek brutal revenge. Unforgettable cinema from Korea's most important director.

WOW!
did it take this long for these movies to be on this site?

All of these movies need to be viewed by anyone who is a movie/cinema fan.

No horror about it, these are just great movies.

Oldboy is probably the most simple of the three, but it is the favorite by most. The other two are simply, absolutely brilliant, but are more complex films. They need and deserve 2-3 viewings. Anyway, Park Chan-wook is one of the best directors working today, hands down.

I liked Oldboy the most at the start, but Mr. Vengeance has grown on me, I absolutely love it. That baseball bat scene is just brilliant, you can really feel the first hit.
