played a Turok demo

game is awesome, but DAMN its hard. Its a first person shooter and I really like the dinosaurs in this one. Certain dinosaurs don't even mess with you if you leave them alone. But the damn velociraptors. Good lord, there fast as hell. And they make the game really challenging. And some of the knife kills are cool. If a dino grabs you you can stab the grap out of it reapeatidly till it lets you go.

Theres also soilders after you, and you get the dinos and the soldiers in the same place they will fight each other. I realized the soldiers were bad when I thought I was savin some guy from a raptor and he turns around and empties a clip in my ass. You can duel wield weapons, and the shotgun has a nifty flare gun on it that will get some of the dinosaurs attention. I noticed Ron Perlman doin the voice of your parnter (who is a dick) and Turok looks awesome. He's a native american(I guess) with a mohawk and he's good with a bow and arrow. But like I mentioned before the game can be hard. The Raptors (all I've fought so far) are fast as hell, and its easy for them to hit you. But as they knock you down you can look up and shoot at them. You gotta do a lot of rolling out of the way.

So its fun, and it'll be worth playing. But if you've gotta gamefly account I'd stick with that. Its just a fun first person shooter and you know how easy it is to get through most of them. Course then again I have no idea how the multiplayer is gonna be. That could make it worth buying. The graphics are really good too. And the dinosaurs look really good. You can tell they really tried to go with what we atleast think these creatures looked like. The Raptors look like they did in Jurassic Park 3. With the funky heads. The atmosphere and tention work really well. You're always wondering if somethings gonna jump out at you. I can't wait to see a T-Rex.

I liked Turok on the N64, i'd give this a go. I always thought it was a series that had potiential be great but never really took off as it could have. A bit like Dino Crisis.

Turok 2 for the N64 was amazing and really stepped it up for FPS. I have fond memories of that game with the "body damage area" hits for baddies and the infamous Cerebral Bore, the best FPS weapon ever created.

So far the videos and screen shots looks great for the new Turok game, but visuals mean nothing when the gameplay is shite. We shall see.

Frankly the only Turok game I liked was Turok 64, but this looks down right awesome. Hopefully it matches it's hype.

I played the demo and it seemed pretty good, but I also hope that the entire game lives up to the hype. The graphics were okay, minor glitches but it is a demo, the dino kills are awesome, but can get repetitive. Your squads comments also get kinda repetitive, but if the AI in the demo is this good, I can't wait to see the final game. What I'm most excited about is the multiplayer with dinosaurs. But multiplayer games lately have been very hit or miss. CoD4 and Halo3 are two really awesome MP games to compete with. I hope Turok is at least as good as they are.
