From director Prachya Pinkaew of Ong-Bak and The Protector (Tom-yum Goong) fame, comes Chocolate. The film follows an autistic girl who has uncanny reflexes and is able to mimic the fight choreography she sees on TV. The girl makes it her mission to collect debts in an attempt to save her ill mother. Looks good:

That's an odd title for an martial arts film, but i'm sure that it means something looks sweet though. She's gonna be the female Tony Jaa hopefully she can get out just like he did and do more films.

Well, I enjoyed the flick, but it pales in comparison to Ong-Bak or The Protector. The lead chick, although talented, doesn't bring the jaw-dropping fight scenes that Jaa did, and it was clear that certain scenes were sped-up and wires were used, making some of the action a bit awkward or too fake looking. However, that doesn't necessarily deter too much from the action itself.
The film started off strong, building up the lead character, and it seemed like it was going to be a pretty kickass film, but once the action did start, although it was pretty entertaining, it really didn't offer anything new or jaw-dropping like in the director's previous works. There were a lot of good ideas (yakuza, autistic girl with cat-like reflexes), but the execution wasn't pulled off well. The story is once again paper thin, and so is the character development.
In the past I was able to overlook these problems due to the badass action, but this movie didn't really offer such memorable scenes. It also would have been nice had there been more foes that were more equal to our heroine's skills. There were maybe a couple worthy fights (fav. being the other autistic fighter). Regardless, the action it did have was still good, and I was entertained from beginning to end.
7/10

The fight scenes are awesome, i had a chance to see the DVD but it had no english subtitles which kind of bummed me out, but its like ong-bak/tom yum goong, the story/writing doesn't matter
I can't wait to see her in more films, she kicks ass.
