Leon Kennedy in Brawl?

Nevertheless, the voice of Leon in RE4 (Paul Mercier) has Super Smash Bros Brawl listed in his credit.

The way it looks to me is its the perverbial IMDB hoax with someone adding his name for kicks or perhaps Capcom and Nintendo couldnt agree on Megaman and instead went with Leon and kept it under heavy wraps. Nevertheless, for a hoax, its generated alot of interest IMO since Sonic was revealed to join forces with Nintendo in Brawl.

My biggest problem with this theory is that Snake's already in Brawl... And they took away his guns and left him with nothing but explosives.

So what exactly is Leon's moveset gonna be if they won't allow guns? Maybe a rocket launcher, but that's very redundant. I suppose there's the trusty RE combat knife, but even though Super Smash Bros. features swords, a combat knife seems... Strangely violent. I don't know why, but I just don't see them letting that fly either.

Well one of his moves could have him pull out Ashley from RE4 and have her just scream LEEEEEOOOONNN!!! like she did all the damn time in RE4 if you walked more than 2ft away from her. Would probaly do some real life harm to the players ears.

From a marketing standpoint and overall 'whats in' standpoint. Having the likes of Sonic (Marios' arch console rival from the past), an M rated character in Snake from a solid series like MSG and the character from arguably the best game in its series with Leon Kennedy. It only makes sense for Nintendo to up the ante.

All that said, I even doubt that he will make the roster and there are rumblings Megaman wont either. However Capcom really hasnt said much and im sure there is stuff going on behind the scenes to make this game the most unothoridoxed roster in fighting game history if it isnt already.

Why mess with a good thing and this series is proving to be one of the best up and coming series of its time IMO. The more the merrier as long as its a quality game, who cares.

The Resident Evil series blows in general. Dino Crisis is so far and away better and its not even close. Far as Smash Bros goes, fuck that. All it is basically is nothing more than a ripoff of Mortal Kombat and Turok.

granted Dino Crisis is awesome even though I love Resident Evil too. I'm still waiting on a new Dino Crisis game, never gonna happen though.

Didnt really want to bump this but I figured it'd be a better idea than starting a new thread when this was only created bout a week or so ago.

Anyway, the news isnt good for those who have a heavy interest in this game like me.

Brawl has been delayed from Feb 10th to March 9th. That said, I dont mind if it means improving and polishing the game as long as it doesnt drag out any longer than that as this will be the second time its been delayed. Especially if they continue to add more 3rd party characters along with polishing the Subspace Emissary solo campaign, im all for it.

I agree, although it sucks to have it delayed longer, Nintendo won't release it until its perfect, but when they do, it will all be worth it.
