Yep... my boy and my girl don't look much at all like each other.

The twins that tend to look alike are maternal twins, where they split from the same egg... those twins will ALWAYS be of the same sex.

Where as Paternal twins, those that resulted from two completely separate eggs, can be of the same or different sex, and tend to be of no more significant resemblance to each other than that of any other singleton siblings.

What cracks me up is when someone finds out I have twins, they ask "Are they boys or girls?" To which I reply, "One boy, One girl."
Then they ask "Oh, Are they Identical Twins?"
And I say, "Other than they look completely different and one has a vagina and the other has a penis, I suppose they are..."

On a side note, I once has some dipshit actually argue with me that boy/girl twins can be identical... what an idiot.
