Lately, I've had a terrible time trying to read or watch the news. There have been some horrendous, disgusting and unbelievably disturbing violent crimes going down everywhere in this country.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/01/14/bodies.found.ap/index.html
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/01/14/bridge.deaths.ap/index.html?iref=topnews
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/01/14/missing.marine/index.html
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/01/11/hiker.suspect/index.html?iref=newssearch

What's going on? Where's the progression toward peace and happiness for people?

Beheading innocent 24-year-old women?
Throwing toddlers off of a bridge?
Killing a pregnant woman and burning her remains?
Decomposing remains of children killed by their mother in an apartment house?

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH SO MANY PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY?!

Seriously. I've been depressed as fuck lately about all of these stories. I've never been big on the death penalty, but maybe it's time to really start sending a message to all the crazy fucking people in this country.

Where are these stories elsewhere in civilized countries? Sure, they happen elsewhere, but it seems so much more few and far in between. Why does it seem like there's so much violent crime in America? Eight kids dead, a young woman dead and beheaded (for what?!?!), and a pregnant soon-to-be mother and her infant dead.

Christ, it seems like we're digressing as civilized beings. That shit, the war...my God.

Lets all promise to love our fucking neighbors!

"So what you think, hmm? What is this? Is this the end of times? 'Cause if it is, I'm telling you, I'm fucked."

"This is what I've seen in the four weeks since infection. People killing people. Which is much what I saw in the four weeks before infection, and the four weeks before that, and before that, and as far back as I care to remember. People killing people. Which to my mind, puts us in a state of normality right now."

For me there are 3 kinds of people in this world or atleast generic ideals close to it IMO.

Good

Evil

Pure Evil

Are all these crimes getting blamed on video games too? Cuz lots of violent shit happens over here, and straight away, it's Manhunt.

The fact is that news programs will generally only report on the weird and bad news as opposed to the good, because, admit it, the good stuff (although nice to hear about) isn't as interesting.

Shit like this just happens. This time several happend to occur within a 2-3 week period, I remember a few years back a lot of natural disasters happend in a short period and many thought it was the end of times.

Not to mention, the media choses to cover these things. They could cover something entirely different and the world would be the same... well, maybe now there will be some copycat killers.

That is correct.

Which is why they need more detectives reporting the news or atleast someone with more of a solid political background such as Arnie.

Haha, greatest game ever.

Anyway, the only thing I can think of as of why people do these things is that people are fucked up.

People suck. Bottom line. We're selfish, disgusting creatures, and every now and then, some people take it way too far.

Gotta keep those ratings up. :D

I've always believed everyone is capable of evil, just that some aren't as good at controlling it.
