Eventually they'll be able to create an actual Frankenstein or make the movie "Re-Animator" a reality. Do you people consider this a good thing? I'm a bit iffy on the subject.

Let's see... people no longer having to wait on transplant waiting lists for donor organs... organs made from a person's own cells, so there won't be tissue rejection... oh, yeah this is just a horrible development. :shakehead

Joker hit the nail on the head.
Some of us want to live a long time.
This is great news. Next thing we need is cybernetics that can help the human body.

I was always curious to see if they could do a brain transplant. Probably isn't even possible but if it was, Wizard of Gore should be the first person to recieve one :D

I think the problem with the brain is.
Its our indentity. It would change us completely unless they could simply make improvements to it which is fine with me but if they found a way to replace it. Sure it would be considered a good thing for some people but it would completely change that person.
It would be a new person.

I see this the same way I see cloning, humans shouldn't be playing God. I don't want to live forever, I'm going to die when I'm going to die, those who are closest to me (which is very few) will have to accept this.
That's kinda ridiculous.... Is making skin grafts out of person's skin cells for a burn victim "playing God"? There is really no difference here... making a healthy part to replace a bad/broken one.
I suppose you think looking for cures for any disease is "playing God".
This is not about living forever, it's about saving lives.... that's all.
