If anyone's just starting out or plan to soon, I'm returning to World of Warcraft and starting fresh on the Skullcrusher server as Alliance. My friend is there, so that's why I picked it. This would be my third time returning to the game. I kept quitting in the past, because I either ran out of time or lost interest. I decided to return since I have a little extra time during the day and I plan on taking it slow on leveling this time, so I don't hit lvl 70 (or 80 when the expansion comes out) too soon and get bored again. If anyone wants to join and quest with me from the beginning, then lemme know.

Wasn't planning on it. To be honest, I wasn't even aware the series was coming out with an MMORPG until you mentioned it. I checked some old movies for it and it looks just like WoW, but a little slower.

Sweet. Only keys for the original game will work. If I try entering a Burning Crusade guest pass key, it'll come back invalid. I've tried it enough times already, especially since I have two at my disposal right now. If there were a way to upgrade to a BC account and use the keys I have, I would, but it won't let me upgrade until I enter a key for the first game, so I'm stuck :(

That'd be great, cuz this is a huge hassle having to enter a key just to play normally. Right now as a trial account it'll only let me play as a gnome :mad:

There's no way I'm gonna repurchase the first game just to get a working key, so trying to get one from someone else is really my only option, and it sucks since players will likely not have the key to the first game anymore, since it's old.

Well, turns out that the only way to get out of this trial account is to actually have a retail key, and for some reason they've currently disabled the option to purchase an online upgrade from a trial to retail account. So, looks like the only way for me to fully play the game is to buy the actual game again, or wait for them to have the upgrade option available for purchase again. :rolleyes:

I would start a character with you but I've got a level 63 hunter right now on Mal'ganis Horde. I actually haven't played in about three weeks and don't know if I plan to start back up. I might start up an alt on that server with a couple of my friends if I start the game back up.

Guess I'm gonna go BM until I hit 70-or-so and join a raiding guild, where I'll prob go mostly MM and survival.

Any recommendations for cool/useful pets? So far I just picked up a ravager and recently got that black spider "Zarakh" and Bloodmyst Isle. Ravager so far doin' sweet DPS, while the spider just looks cool in general.

at low levels keep switching pets and level them a bit so u learn more abilities. and as far as you being bm your probally gonna wanna tank pet, boar, bear turtle or some shit. Later on around 70 get the venom spitting snake or something its awesme.

Definitely gettin' a boar when I come across one. Love their charge ability. What's the best tank pet? I heard turtles cuz of their armor and HP.

Well me and a few friends have decided to roll onto your server. It depends how the queues are if we stay because we have been playing on Mal'Ganis with 600 man queues during peak hours.

Edit: Ugh 200 man queue and the server is locked. :(

Me and three of my friends were thinking about creating new characters because we are bored on Mal'ganis, it is just too populated, too many shitty pugs and horrible queues. Right now we can't even create characters. We are probably going to play on a medium server because we usually play anywhere from 4:00pm to 9:00pm weekdays which are peak times on most servers. It would be fun to start a character on your server but we don't want to have to deal with queues.

You're probably better off getting a server with a big time gap from your own, that way while you're online during a usually populated time, it's an odd time for the server itself, thus, leading to less people. Though, I'm sure you thought of this already. I figured most servers are pretty populated anyway during peak hours like this, especially on weekends.

It's PVP, good raid progression, medium size. It seems like the ideal server. It isn't too progressed and seems to have a decent economy. I've played on four different servers. I played on Shadowsong, shitty over populated PVE server. I played on Frostmane with you until you quit your shaman. I played on Drak'thul shitty PVP low pop. I played Mal'Ganis PVP which is just fucking horrible.

The only problem with playing on a server that has a large time difference, there aren't as many raiding guilds if you want to raid at 6:00 PM your time and the server is 12:00am. Usually I like to stay about an hour or so with in the time zone, usually if its 5:00 on my end its 6:00 on the servers. We are aiming to juts have some fun this time around and do some raiding but nothing hardcore. We are going to check out Daggerspine since it seems to have a decent population and general good consensus. I would still want to play with you on your server but I'm pretty sure my friends dont want to go on another high pop server.

EDIT: Fuck Daggerspine, timezone is way to far off for us. Looks like we are going to go to Ner'zhul.

My first account is gone completely. My second account I might be able to get back, which has a level 70 NE warrior with full gladiator gear. I'll try getting my second account back, I gave it away to one of my guild mates when I quit. I don't think he plays anymore and it isn't under my email address anymore. I'm on my third account which only has my 63 hunter because I started the game back up two months ago. I think I'll just level this warrior again because imo warriors are kind of easy to level and I'll be able to level with my friends which is usually a lot of fun.

Short version of the story, I sold my first account, I was an idiot and gave away my second account never thinking I would ever start playing again, and I'm still an idiot, leveling another warrior. :nod:

You're right about lvlin' wars, I remember getting my NE war to like 32 in 5 days, which was the fastest I've ever lvled with any other class.

Yeah I logged last night so I could get some sleep and wake up to play in the morning. I'm usually online between 4:30 PM and 9:30 PM on normal weekdays. I'll catch you online.

If your main is still gonna be on mal'ganis then you might as well just ditch your war all together. If you really want to do a war again you might as well do it on mal'ganis, that way you won't have to keep switching servers just to play, unless you really wanted a NE war.

I'm sticking to my NE warrior, fucking 600 man queue on Mal'ganis tonight did me in. Took me 3 minutes to get into Skullcrusher.

As far as that build goes, everything in BM looks good. In Marksmanship I would move a few things around. First I would ditch the 5/5 improved arcane shot. 5 points is just way to second for the reduced cooldown. When you start raiding you should have a shot rotation that will look like Aimed Shot->Auto-shot->Steady Shot->Auto-shot->Steady Shot->. You won't use aimed shot again because it resets your auto shot timer and the cast time is too expensive.

The only time you will use arcane shot is in PVP to remove a targets buff. So with those 5 extra points, I would also remove the three extra points from Hawk Eyed and go 2/2 Rapid Killing, and 2/2 Go For the Throat. Then 5/5 points into Mortal Shots. So your final build should look like this.

EDIT: Arcane Shot is extremely useful until you get your other key abilities in the late 60s.

Anyways, I hit level 10 today because I was pretty busy running around today but hopefully mid week I should be 20. I remembered how much I hate Darnassus. You wouldn't happen to have an extra 50 silver :eyebrow2: I'll pay you back tommorow once I sell a stack of copper :ahheh:. So far so good on this server, my only gripe is the queue which wasn't even that bad and nowhere near as painful as Mal'ganis.

I hear you about hawk eye and arcane shot, but as of right now, the hawk eye is great since I can shoot mobs from a great distance, leaving them at like 5% life by the time they get to me. As for arcane shot -- I definitely use this a lot, it's one of my favorite shots right now. Of course I'm only lvl 24, so obviously thoughts on my build will change, but for now that's how I see myself going for the time being.

Good to hear you're sticking to your war. My first main (60 dwarf hunter) was on Mal'ganis which still remains today as THE worst server I've ever been a part of. It was just horribly overpopulated with horde that it became ridiculous. You couldn't go to any contested area without getting ganked. And, of course, there were the horrible wait times. I remember keeping the game minimized for hours, waiting for my turn to finally log in.

Oh, and, my friend hooked me up with some gold, so I can send some your way no prob.

Got jumped by some 27 shammy right after I got finished with a mob. My pet did most of the damage since I couldn't get enough distance from him, and of course, he ignored the pet. Can't wait to get my BM tree up :D

The build you made is def good for leveling, Hawk Eye is great at lower levels but by the time your 70 you won't need it as much, if anything gets in your face you can just use one of your 50 snares.

Hunters are a fun class to play, and as of right now probably one of the most overpowered classes in the game. Have fun ganking shit 3-4 levels higher than you. :nod:

The best guide is Brian Kopps leveling guide. It costs $30. If you want a copy fright I can ship it to you over AIM. It's a really detailed step by step guide. I can download the latest version since I actually paid the $$$ for it. Just let me know. I'll level as fast as possible.

If anything I think I'll just make another character on that server that isn't hunter, since I've never tried any other class..anyone have any sugggestions?

Druid... fun for grps, and for solo. Or locks... the most overpowered one.

Shaman or Druid. They are both pretty fun classes, in my opinion. I'd also recommend a warrior, only cuz it's very fun taking on like 3 or 4 mobs at a time, and it's really easy to lvl. If you join hit me with your name, or send me a message.

Listen to Fright. We had a good discussion on shitty remakes last night. Its pretty damn fun. This should be a lot of fun if we get a bigger group going. I've got a couple friends on and by the time everyone is 70 we should have a good core, big enough to run a guild and raid for epics.

No, don't have a server.

I'm lvl 28 now and I ended up getting rid of Hawk Eye and putting the three points in Thick Hide, so now my pet is lasting a lot longer than before. I decided to get rid of it since (although it was nice shooting mobs from a great distance) mobs would still end up reaching me, which made me think that putting three points in something that's more beneficial would be smarter. Thus, thick hide, since it gives both myself and my pet an armor increase.

Been playing the game for about 11 days and I'm up to lvl 35 now. I'm lvlin' at a pretty good pace, and I estimate that I'll probably hit 70 in another month or less. For those of you who wanted to start fresh with me -- you might as well just transfer your mains over if you were ever interested in playing on Skullcrusher to begin with.

Up to 42 now and gettin' ganked up da ass by high lvls. I dunno what's up with high lvls always killing lowbies since it doesn't gain them anythin. :rolleyes:

I'm being talked into joining by an old friend who wants me to play on Scarlet Crusade. Yeah, I know, roleplaying server. I'm an old D&D'er at heart and never got into PvP stuff anyway.

I suppose I can probably start a new character on Skullcrusher too, if the game will let me.

I sold my last acct (70 shammy) for $325 and he had decent gear, but no epics, with the exception of the flying mount. Cool site, gonna have to remember that if I ever decide to sell again.

Yeah they're good, my bro used them, so he had me set mine up there too. They're cheap, and of course as long as you dont post your character name or screenshot your good.

I got bored 2 weeks ago, so I started a new hunter, got it up to 51 last night. Oh the joys of being unemployed.

Hunter is definitely a fun class. I'm having loads more fun than my last hunter, but then again, they didn't have all these new perks back then. I just hit 66 this morning, and I'll probably be 70 by the end of next week, or sooner :nod:
