The series originally got canceled, but due to demand from fans, will be returning next month with an additional 7 episodes to wrap things up.
Three of the new episodes have been released online, and I caught'em recently. I have to admit that at first I liked the series, but after a handful of eps, I started to lose interest, especially in the over-dramatic scenes and pointless family-related issues that were presented in a lot of the episodes in the middle of the season. All I cared about was how they were gonna survive and what really happened; I don't care if some old lady doesn't like the woman her son's dating, or what-not. Despite that, I still watched it and it definitely picked up towards the end.
This new season (at least from the three eps so far) are definitely a big step-up from most of the first season. It finally gives us the answers we've been asking for, and kicks it up action-wise. Looking forward to catching the rest of the new season when it airs.
