So I'm going on a road trip soon and most of the driving will be done at night. I'm trying to get a bunch of songs together perfect for driving down the highway at night. I'm not really sure what everyone here exactly listens to but I figured I'd try anyways.

The first CD is done and maybe you can get a sense of my style from it's tracks.
1. Is This Love - Bob Marley
2. Lazy Eye - Silversun Pickups
3. In the Air Tonight - Collins
4. Dead or Alive (Wanted) - Bon Jovi
5. Dramarama - Anything, Anything
6. Paint It Black - Incubus cover
7. Superstar - Sonic Youth cover
8. Starlight - Muse
9. Summer Breeze - Type O Negative cover
10. I Still Believe - Lost Boys soundtrack
11. Where the Wild Roses Grow - Kylie M. & Nick Cave
12. Buffalo Soldier - Marley again
13. Taking the Long Way Around - Dixie Chicks

So yeah, any suggestions? As you can tell there's not much in the way of music I won't give a chance, but anything that screams or moves so fast I can't understand the words I probably won't dig.

Bob Seger is nice and mellow.

When I used to do a lot of driving, like across states,I used to listen to a lot of audio books or music that was telling a story-Like Red sovine, his music isnt usually my kind of music, but after you've been driving for hours and hours it really is pretty good.

As thought-provoking and meaningful as the lyrics of that song are, I may pass on that one.

Hey now, you didn't ask for deep philosophical songs you asked for highway music, and a song about getting road-head couldn't be more fitting.

:coolbeer: Country is what I was raised on so I love it too. And yeah, a lot of songs from that genre are great for night drives.
