how was the "free" ozzfest last year? I never bothered to ask anyone.

Thats a shitty lineup. Only band on there I'd have any interest in seeing is Testament. And even thats a really minimal interest.

I thought that it was cool. You basically had to sign up your email and then there were certain times to download your tickets, pretty easy. The beer prices were the same at my venue as any other time so I don't remember prices being jacked up on anything.

If it's free again this year I'll go just to see Testament and Ozzy...

I'm wondering more about the Sponcers, Rockstar and Jeigermeister (however it's spelled) both supported it and this year it's supporting the Slipknot/Disturbed Tour instead. This line up is only a rumor and what I've learned over the years is you never know who Ozzfest will book (Who'd a thunk it that Lordi was on it last year).

Edit: Here's another list from themetalreport.com that has a more likely list of bands.

Judas Priest, Heaven & Hell, Down, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Megadeth, Black Label Society, Mudvayne, Killswitch Engage, Avenged Sevenfold, Shadows Fall, Atreyu, Slayer, In This Moment, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, Job For A Cowboy, Anthrax and others who aren't involved with the ROCKSTAR MAYHEM tour.

that sounds a lot better, granted still some bands I coud do without.

Agreed. Last year was the first time since like 99 that I havent gone. My gf may make me go though if this is true since she loves KSE.

That hasn't been confirmed yet...and you can only see an act so many times before it starts to get old.

That 2nd list certainly isn't any better, the number of shitty bands cancel out the good ones.

If it for free, then it's for me.

That second list is considerably better, but any band on there that I'd wanna see... I've already seen. Besides, I have ProgPower IX and the New England Hardcore and Metal Fest to go to this year.

So unless it's free again, there's no chance in hell of me going.

This list sounds pretty good to me, unlike the one first posted.
