Hardest Rock station by me (Queens, NYC) is 92.3 K-Rock.

If you have a really good stereo with a quality antenna, you can get 89.5 WSOU from NJ, which is a pirate radio station that plays metal all the time.

No mainstream metal stations by me though, which blows.

I get 97.5 K Rock .. they play some older rock, the hardest it gets is Ozzy or Metallica now and then.

I want a hardcore death metal station, that would kick ass.

Thanx. Never knew PA had a station like that. Lucky for you.

I'll keep my ears open for it when I pass through.

There's one, but it's only on a certain day, at a certain time (very late at night). Impossible to remember when, and I don't even have a radio.

We only have one true rock station where I am and it's not even that great, They seem a little too 80's oriented, and not the good part of the 80's rock and metal scene. Everything else is oldies here for the most part:die:

Frankly I got to see what Sirius radio was like and there selection was much better. I could almost always find a station playing something I liked.

In San Diego, we have Rock 105.3. They play rock, hard rock, and metal. They're pretty good, sometimes they play crap, but most of the time it's good. I'm not sure if they still do it, but they used to, and maybe still do, play an hour of Metallica every night at like 8 or 9.

My classic rock station (WDVE) is either playing Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin. For whatever reason they try to sneak a nickelback song in there... :die:

105.7 The X is the local station around here, they play a lot of great songs.. but then sometimes they play a string of shitty songs.

They'll play AC/DC, Pink Floyd, then go to something icky like Hatebreed.

As for just a straight metal station around here, I wish there was. :(

We have KLBJ. They have five cds.

Rush
Ozzy Ozzbourne
Pink Floyd
Led Zepplin
ACDC

All five are greatest hits albums, naturally. Plus there's a morning show in which everyone who isn't a peace-loving old stoner is going to get his damned ass kicked and teeth punched in by the hippie djs.

Then there's the X station. Like, all new and extreme. If I listen for more than 30 minutes I'm guaranteed to hear a song by either Sublime, Nirvana, or the Chili Peppers.

Hey, does anyone else remember 1988? When the Chili Peppers were pissed at Faith No More? Yeah. No point trying to find anything modern on the modern rock station either.

My station does that too, I usually look forward to it because they play stuff from the earlier albums.

Haha, the whole country must do a mandatory Metallica. I thought we were the only ones here
