I know we've all seen the updates and pics Blood the Last Vampire on this site. It's been rumored for years, but it seems they're finally moving ahead with Dragonball Z film. It's also been confirmed that they're doing the Oh So Famouse Akira into 2 Live Action Films due out in 09.

We now have 4 Movies bassed off of very populer Animes and Mangas due out from a few months to a few years. Could Live Action films bassed off of Animes and Mangas be the new craze? And if it is, would you want some of your favorite Books/Animations turned into big blockbusters?

It's hard to comment on the subject until we actually see some of these projects. However, on the topic of whether it's the new "craze in hollywood" I have to say no, since it's just barely picking up, and what really seems to be the new craze at the moment is the P.O.V. camera.

Yeah, they are doing a Dragon Ball Z movie. The one I'm looking forward to the most is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I think I read it's coming out in May. Should be awsome, the anime is awsome, so the movie will hopefully be awsome. Got to love an anime with cute teenage and little girls killing people  .

The next big craze after remakes will be adapting board games. Was watching cops on g4 and the feed said Hasbro has teamed up with Universal for a series of films based on their toy properties.

So look out for Battleship, and Candyland!!!

Candyland is gonna fucking rock!

I think it'll come down to how well movies like Speed Racer and Akira end up doing at the box office.
