I hate to predict anyone over the Sox, but I don't know how much they've improved this offseason, especially considering their age. I could easily see them winning it all again, but I fear age has caught up with them and the rotation won't be too reliable outside Beckett.

I think Matsuzaka, Buchholz and Lester will all be good in spurts, but all will also run into trouble for a variety of reasons throughout the year.

I dont even think the Sox will make the playoffs. Such a suspect rotation and I have a feeling Schill will be nothing but a distraction this season during his rehab. I think it will be alot like the 2005 season after their first WS win except this time they wont make the playoffs.

Outside of Beckett. Dice K still has to prove he can pitch a whole season without wearing out, same goes for Oki and the kids (Lester and Bucholtz) have to show what their made of.

Too many what ifs on this team and when you have that many what ifs. Its usually not a good thing.

In the end, good season, I look for around 80-85 wins max but thats it. That will probably get you the Central division or WC in the NL but not in the AL.

I agree that they'll fall a bit from last year's team, but there's no way they finish below, at, or just above .500.

I think they win 90-92, get the Wild Card, but get bumped quick. There are just better squads out there right now.

Of course, the trading deadline can change everything.

Florida Marlins will win 95 games this year with a virtual farm system and once AGAIN show up all those stuck up bitches in the NorthEast how winning baseball is done.

Sox and Yankees are overrated as ever. One team with no pitching whatsoever hoping their loaded roided bats will keep them alive all season (Yankees) and the other doesnt have nearly the pitching its used to and their kids are all overrated garbage.

Both of those teams will be lucky to win 90 games this season. Darkhorse outta that divsion will be Toronto. Mets will also implode once Pedro goes down for the count and Santana wets his pants in the ultra competitive NL.

cause management were too stupid to give up lester and elsbury for santana, which owns the deal that landed santana to the mets.

schiling gets hurt, becket isnt healthy, and the pats dont have an offense anymore to make up for crap pitching.

this team is the same exact as last year, only older. and this team did start to fall apart towards the end of the season.

it wasnt the chips to get santana that was the biggest problem it was the apparent 28 mil a year he wanted, but that didnt happen either.

sox messed up on this one.

85 wins tops for Sox this year.

If that

3rd-4th place finish.

If its 3rd, its behind the Jays and Yanks. If its 4th, its behind the Jays, Yanks and Rays.

Kids will fail them, Dice K will be up and down as will Wakes. They will miss Schilling and Beckett will be good but one guy cant do it all.

And when the fuck did the rays become a real team and not a joke? They're actually impressing me.

A few teams always do that. They suck so bad for seasons and seasons and out of nowhere they step up in the off season, make a few deals and guys train harder and become a solid team. The Detriot Tigers come to mind.

Did anybody hear 'bout the construction that put a red sex jersey under cement by the 3rd base line? Well I guess it was a red sox fan that only work one day at the new Yankees stadium, he wanted to curse the new stadium. They found it and dug it back up, it was a David Ortiz Jersey. I found this to be pretty funny.

Tampa Bay Rays for first place.

Nevertheless, funny how the top 3 payrolls in baseball are losing out to the likes of the Marlins and Rays.

Sox have zero 6th/7th inning relief which is the same problem they had last year. Their gonna burn out Okijima and the starters arent going deep enough into games. Dice K has pitched well except he cant pitch more than 5/6 innings. Beckett hasnt been Beckett yet but I think he'll get back into it. The other 3 are a real concern.
