passed away at age 69. I had a blast playing DnD with firends for a year, it really is all just about hanging out with friends and fuckign around with your imagination. Good times.

Sad to hear this... Gygax's creation was directly responsible for many many hours of time wasted in my life... thoroughly enjoyed wasting that time though...

I played a lot with my friends, but we never took it to seriously we just had fun with it. Like wrathborne said its all about hanging out and havin a good time. The guy is responsible for a half the geeks you meet :)

Anyways never played DnD and never will, but the guy lived his life doing what he loved so Kudos.

As much fun he gave kids. He's also responsible for a lot kids getting the shit kicked out of them through HS.

No, I'm sure other kids were responsible for that. Afterall in high school, different is seen as weak, and fights are about asserting yourself because obviously looking important is everything in high school.

Have no clue who he is I never played D&D. All I know is if it wasn't for nerds like this guy half the games I love on the PC/consoles wouldn't have been inspired or made. so RIP
