As far as the best 3 piece band, I have yet to see anybody list a group that's better than Anal Cunt. Until Rush or whatever crappy band that has been listed can write amazing songs like "Women, Natures Punching Bag" and "I Gave Your Kid Aids So You Could Watch It Die" there will never be a competition as to who is the best 3 piece band is.

Double Trouble is Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton. He recorded Texas Flood as a three-piece. They also spent much of their time touring and playing as a three-piece. (Including the time I saw him play live in Kansas City.) Later they would add players to the band.

SRV and Double trouble = one the great 3-piece acts
