Life Sux Without Football

I hate it when football season ends.
Worst time of the year (sportswise) = The day after the Superbwl and the Saturday before the first week of the new Season.
Thank God The Mets are looking good this year.
What's there to do?

1. Wait for next season
2. Laugh at New England and their fans :D
3. Sleep
4. Make plans for the first game of next season
5. Post at UHM

K this is two things I think we can actually agree on when it comes to sports.

The NHL commissioner is just horrible, from marketing the sport, to some of the rule changes, and numerous other things that asshat has done to hurt the game as a whole,

and yes, watching on tv is very difficult to do unless you know the game fairly well due to many of the little nuances in the game. That's just a tough one, granted HD has helped quite a bit I think.

I suppose to be a sports fan, you kinda have to grow up alittle bit with it in order to truly get into it for the most part. Even though some people get into sports later in life.

Its all relative, I suppose the world would be boring if everyone were a sports fan. It would also lead to more pricks than what sports already produces.

Course, when it comes down to it, its all pretty much the same. It's all just getting together with friends and hanging out and enjoying a similar interest and its kind of hard to debate that.

Only real difference is sports is more accepted because its manly to sit there and watch athletes beat the crap out of eachother for sports on the scoreboard.

Sports are tradition, sports are magnificent, sports are all about whose better and who can attach their ego's to what team!

Yeah, sorry I don't buy that. Athletes status in society is way too overated anyways. If running up and down a feild catching a ball while being chased by steroid loving loonies is the height of entertainment, then the movie industry is really screwed.

And again, I do speak from experience, and the satisfaction of a former kick-ass job which would never have happened if not for my D&D days.

On the flip side, super-awesome dungeon master is less impressive to most women than armchair quarterback. There is a serious trade-off there.
